Watching the overrated and overhyped Knicks crap the bed was fantastic. May it continue.

Nice win by IND.  The definition of "stealing" a win.  Lot of pressure on NYK in the next game now.  I didn't make it to the end.  I lasted through about half the 4th.  NYK looked like the better team for the part of the game I watched, but not by much.

But I don't like this choke gesture business.  I didn't like it when Reggie Miller did it and I didn't like Haliburton doing it.  If I ran the NBA, I would fine players for doing it.  You just won a big game, show some class.  Wining a game does not excuse acting like a jerk.  It felt like he planned it.  At least with Reggie Miller, it felt more spontaneous, caught up in the moment bad judgement vs. premeditated bad judgement.

Omg, what a game! Pacers doing to the Knicks what they did to us in games 1 and 2. They are such a dangerous team

Honestly, not that it makes a difference, but this was way worse!
Yup

Nah, it was great for them obnoxious Knicks fans to choke on that.

It's good to see Nesmith showing out.  He was my draft binkie, and I was disappointed that he didn't develop as quickly as we would have liked here in Boston. He has really hit his stride in Indiana.  He's always been energetic and hard-working.

It's funny, I hated the pick.  The prior year, we drafted the same position in Romeo!  Our need in 2020 was a PG and Cole Anthony was sitting right there.  It was a repeat of the Marcus Smart draft.  Our real need was a big and we drafted Smart with Randle sitting right there.

The C's have really made me scratch my head with a lot of their drafting over the years.

Retrospect-In the modern-day NBA it's hard to find players that always play hard no matter and never give up. Those type you keep....

How does the Karma feel NY to have a huge lead and blow it in forced OT just like how you beat us. Now the Pacers can win next game in regulation by 1 after trailing big again. This is SO SWEET!! Go Pacers.

I'm rooting for the Pacers for the remainder of their run. It would be hilarious if they ended up the champs this year, of all teams. They have been tough the whole postseason, despite being underdogs most of the time. Carlisle is a great coach, I still have a soft spot for Nesmith, despite giving up on him in Boston, they have a bunch of good, likable players who play tough, yet entertaining ball. I was fully ready for a scary series with them in the conference finals. We don't get that now, but at least we get to watch them be the Knicks' problem.

Stephen A. being the loser NY fan he is. Spent all the last few days calling Brunson a superstar because he's clutch and can make big shots in crucial moments, which btw is completely true. But then today he says Haliburton is not close to being a superstar because hitting clutch shots doesn't necessarily make you one and there's only a few of them in the NBA  ::)

Oh god I hope IND trounces this team in 5 or 6 and we see 2011 Vancouver levels of riots in NY next week.

ESPN predictably crying as well today. Good.

From March 1, the Timberwolves had the second-best record (17-4) and point differential (plus-11.4) in the NBA.

To be fair, they benefited from an easy schedule. According to ESPN Analytics, Minnesota had the league?s second-easiest schedule in March and April, and the average team would?ve been expected to post a plus-2.6 point differential in that stretch. Still, Minnesota?s plus-8.8 schedule-adjusted point differential over that span (11.4 minus 2.6) would have rated near the top of the league.

Homecourt advantage in the NBA has been steadily eroding for the past few seasons.

So homecourt has never meant less.

* The lowest win rate in NBA history.
* The 5 lowest scores have been in 5 of the last 6 seasons.
* The other year ranked 11th worst.

Another indicator that statistical randomness is overtaking intangibles as a determining factor.

I wonder if this makes sports gambling easier for the house or the gambler.

I loved it when Reggie did it back in the 90s.

Haliburton just felt like a poor imitation. It doesn't work twice. But he is like that. He is a trash talker who says a lot of stuff to his opponents. He enjoys being an irritant to others.
