Warriors offense is ugly when Jimmy is on the bench.

Kuminga or Podz are their go-to guys.

Some jitters from GSW.

A bunch of unforced turnovers in Q1. 4-5 unforced TOs.

These 2nd unit Minny lineups are rock solid

G: Conley
G: NAW
F: McDaniels
F: Randle
C: Naz

Randle and Naz give Minny a major advantage against most teams 2nd units. The two best scorers in this lineup.

No DiVincenzo today. Fantastic defensive combination 1-3. Naz and Randle too. The athleticism of this group is impressive.

Everyone knows Naz Reid can shoot 3s, but it still feels like a dagger in the heart each time he knocks one down against your team

I can't help but root for GSW without Steph. Underdog.

C'mon Warriors!

Minnesota playing really poorly on offense.  ugly ugly ugly.

This was the Minnesota offense I expected to see against the Lakers. A team that outside of Ant struggles to create. Has minimal ball-handling & playmaking. And that because of that, teams can load up on Ant and make him less effective. Lots of teams succeeded in doing that to Minnesota during the regular season.

LAL's defense was so bad though they made Minnesota's offense look good. Holes galore for Minny to pick LAL apart.

Is there a reason Kuminga wasn't getting much playing time before? Idk, whenever I see him he's making an impact, or at the very least he is putting up some points

I was just listening to a Dan Patrick video on James Harden having another disappointing elimination. He had these stats.

* Steph Curry has 1 game with less than 20pts in 14 career elimination games.
* K Durant has 1 game with less than 20pts in 16 career elimination games.
* LeBron has never been held to less than 20pts in 29 career elimination games.

On the other hand,

* Harden has 12 games with less than 20pts in 26 career elimination games.

That is atrocious for a guy who has scored as many points as he has done in his career. 3 scoring titles. 3 years with 30+ppg. 2 more years with 29+ppg. 7 more years (12 total) of 20+ppg.

Kuminga doesn't play that well with others. He is an individualistic player. He can create his own shot well. He is a good driver. But he has poor team offense. He doesn't shoot well with range. He doesn't pass well. Then on defense he is usually a middling defender.

He had his best spell with GSW playing as a PF where GSW sacrificed their team defense in order to boost his scoring (ppg) numbers. When they played him as a SF next to 2 bigs (Draymond & low skilled center), his lack of shooting made those lineups ineffective.

He is an awkward player.

That said, I thought it was a failure on Steve Kerr's part that he couldn't find a way to make Kuminga work as a 6th man after the Jimmy Butler trade. GSW needed that 3rd scorer. They needed that size & athleticism at forward that Kuminga can provide behind Jimmy and Draymond. Give them some help.

But you know, Kuminga doesn't do himself any favours. He doesn't work hard enough on defense. And his team offense is still poor after 4 seasons. He only works for himself. Not the team. He only works for baskets / scoring. He lets himself down.

Kuminga reminds me of L. Barbosa. Just a straight attacker with great speed but kind of a zero in other categories.

Gotta let him loose when he's on the court and just hope he scores enough to make up for his weaknesses.
