What do the Clippers even do from here? Just run it back? Harden will probably come back and be retained but they can't really add unless they make some big trades with current stars (or young players like Powell) or just pray a few key vets ring-chase with them for the minimum

Also I saw a funny video on Reddit. Ben Simmons this entire round took 6 shot attempts. Made 2 of them but literally all of them were either layups or fadeaways near the rim. 3 of the misses were atrocious including 2 airballs. Seriously, I know he's still playing and offers some stuff in terms of defense and facilitation but man for a #1 pick he turned out to be absolutely terrible. If some team still wants to sign him this offseason then idk what to say. LAC looked woefully undermanned offensively when he was on the court, like a true 4 vs. 5

Absolutely terrible is a stretch. His longevity turned out to be terrible, but he was ROY, a 3x All-Star, 1x All-NBA, and 2x All-Defense. You definitely want more than that from a #1 pick, but he had several good years under his belt before injuries and apparently confidence got the best of him.

It'll be interesting to see if he is ever able to bounce back. We thought a guy like Fultz had found a nice groove, but that lasted only a short period of time. It's hard to be in the NBA if you won't (and can't) shoot the ball. Dude should bulk up and be a full-time Center

Norm Powell is not young. He turns 32 later this month.

He was an old rookie coming into the league. 4 years at UCLA. Made his start with the Derozan & Lowry Toronto Raptors 10 years ago.

He does not have much trade value. He was part of that swap trade for Gary Trent a few years ago that got N Powell sent to Portland. Then signed a big contract in Portland which led to a salary cap dump that saw him sent to LAC for Eric Bledsoe and friends.

It would be hard to get equal value back for N Powell given his age and his status as an undersized SG at only 6-3.

Many folks, including myself, predicted them finishing towards the bottom of the west. So they definitely exceeded expectations imo. But yeah - not really sure where they go from here. They have the new arena, so I highly doubt they want to sell off Harden and Kawhi and rebuild.

Wow idk why but in my mind I thought he was still only like 27. Maybe it's because at times during the Clips season he looked so good and fast out there. I admittedly and evidently don't know much about his days with the Raptors and Blazers

Fair. Frankly I'm surprised he won that many awards including All-Star three times but yeah, I still consider him a bust. Not to extreme levels like Oden/Kwame Brown but still.

Looking back, the C's and Ainge did a phenomenal job in the Drafts. It's easy to say they had Top-3 picks, but they nailed them and made the right decisions. In fact, for Tatum they traded down from #1 to 3 and let Fultz go elsewhere. Dodged a lot of bullets like Fultz, Jackson, Lonzo, Ingram, Dunn, Hield, etc. Hell, where even is Dragan Bender? I remember there was a lot of hype for him at the time and even a good chunk of this forum wanted him lol. He basically disappeared

I'm seeing a lot of criticism for Reaves, Luka, etc. after that series. But not Lebron. Fitting

JJ Reddick, Lebron's podcast partner and wine-buddy is also basically blaming everyone but himself and Lebron. I think that situation is going to become a circus. And just wait until Bryce James is in the Draft after next season, Lakers will have to take him lol

What happened to Darius Garland?

Why isn't he playing?

Indy needs to try and steal this one with no Garland.

Wow, it is deafeningly quiet in that building right now. Fans realizing that this is going to be an actual series.
