Daniel Theis is signing in Europe.  Apparently multiple NBA teams expressed interest, but he preferred a larger role.

The Indiana Pacers have signed former Duke star and No. 3 overall pick Jahlil Okafor to a 10-day contract, league sources confirmed to IndyStar on Monday.

That's a name that I didn't expect to see.

So the Mavs hadn't been putting fans on the jumbotron over the last few games, which was already pathetic. But then when they finally did last night, a fan mouthed "Fire Nico" and security literally came and led him out of the arena.

SOFT.

And also, there's rumors around the internet that security was all over the arena yesterday, confiscating signs and kicking people out for having any sort of "Fire Nico" related propaganda. Because at the start of OT, that arena looked only about 40% filled even though it was actually filled pretty good at the start of the game. So everyone just wanted to leave without watching OT?

Mavs are gonna look like even bigger dunces if they miss the postseason like @Who hinted above. AD missing multiple weeks, Lively still out, Gafford might have just suffered a bad injury. And they are only a game away from missing the entire play-in

And when you watched Luka in Lakers uniform pummeled the Utah Jazz last night with 24 points and 8 assists, this ought to irritate Mavs (and anti-LAL) fans even more.

This was a lopsided trade that the Lakers won 1000%. Literally set yourselves up to be irrelevant on the front end.

I sure hope Mavs fans continue their propaganda of getting rid of Nico, worst GM ever. Remember he also botched the Curry pitch with Nike back then with the Durant slides, also mispronouncing Curry's name as "StephON" or "Seth", and then this joke of a trade. An example of why "managers" should not be on the management level. Btw he was also responsible in restoring Kobe's image after his rape case.

This was an obvious inside job with Pelinka to get Luka to the Lakers only.

I'll also add, Dirk Nowitzki attended the game at Crypto Arena last night and even tweeted that he's there to "support his good friend Luka". Well done Dirk. That had to have been a massive slap in the face to the Mavericks organization. Your franchise's legend and champion is basically saying "the Mavs are now a joke, and trading Luka was awful".

Also my prediction is, Kyrie is gonna demand a trade this offseason. No way he's staying with injured AD. He'll say the right stuff now but I'm sure he'll try to angle his way to join the Lakers or maybe a team like the Suns or Heat. Klay turned down more money from LA to join Dallas and Luka/Irving, I wonder if he's happy too lol

Lakers up 25 at halftime. Still can?t believe the Mavs made the trade and AD going down that quick makes it even worse.  :blank:

And can't believe Danny Ainge facilitated that trade and now his Jazz is also getting ripped to shreds by the very team he aided.

Reminds me of Ainge facilitating the Rasheed Wallace trade to Detroit in 2004. Set up a rival Eastern Conference to dominate.

Reminds me more of Chris Wallace, also Cs exGM basically handing championships to LAL when he gave away Pao for what appeared to be nothing.  It almost doesn?t matter that Memphis eventually did ok, it was a Celtic giving the Lakers a piece that brought championships to LA. Here we are again. Will now suffer Laker contention for the next decade. This will eventually give the Lakers the edge in championships.

Will be interesting to see who forces their way to LA to play with Luka. Giannis?

He had 14 points on 5-14 shooting (1-7 from three).

I hate the trade but lets slow down.  They beat one of the worst teams in the league last night.  Lets not act like this was some kind of statement win.

Giannis for sure. He's already sick of losing with Milwaukee and can't wait to leave. Embiid is another candidate. Probably Jalen Brunson too if the Knicks don't go anywhere.

I fear Jayson Tatum too with his Kobe idolization

And this is why it's important that Boston starts winning chips more frequently and not screw around and lose before the NBA Finals or lose in the Finals to guys like 2022 Golden State (very winnable series esp being up 2-1 before collapsing). The West is getting tougher with newcomers like Wemby, Holmgren/Williams/SGA, the young Grizzlies, Ime-Rockets, Jokic, and now with Luka magic in LA which makes winning chips more difficult.

Luka will guarantee the Lakers at least 4-5 titles within the next 10-12 years while he's there. The C's need to continue building on that banner count.

Well, you see, you take the number of titles that Luka has already won and multiply it by 11, and you end up with 4.5, right?
