Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young will replace Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in this weekend's NBA All-Star Game, the NBA announced. Antetokounmpo is out with a left calf strain and hasn't played since February 2.

Hornets fans feel LaMelo was snubbed. AGAIN.

Apparently he finished with the 2nd most votes among guards in the East from the fans. Still got passed over as a starter. Then passed over as a reserve. Now passed over as an injury replacement.

Edit: Actually, it looks like he finished top for fan voting. Is that right? 2.5mil votes. D Mitchell got just under 2mil. Brunson 1.7mil. So LaMelo was miles ahead of both.

D Mitchell and Brunson killed LaMelo in both the player vote and the media vote. Only 3 votes for LaMelo to 75 and 82 for Brunson & D Mitchell. 68 player votes to 116 and 106 for D Mitchell & Brunson.

I'm curious if he'll get AD's replacement spot.  Or, do they go with a big man and take Sabonis?

Rob Dillingham has been playing more lately. He has played in the last 13 games after getting DNPs most of the year. Minny has won 9 out of 13 with him in the rotation. He is their best ball-handler. He gives them quickness. More shot creation. More playmaking.

He is playing 16.2 minutes per game. He is scoring 8.2ppg and 3.4apg. 2:1 AST:TOV ratio. 49% FG% 37% 3PT%.

Minny's guard play has been desperately bad this year. No help for Ant at all. Conley is old. No dribble penetration / playmaking from the bench guards. NAW is their main bench guard who is a limited ball-handler and playmaker. A good defender & dependable spot up shooter. But it leaves Ant as their only genuine dribble penetration threat. Dillingham is their best option to give Ant some help in this department.

Hornets fans are correct. And I actually love Young and think he was snubbed originally too.

Sabonis will take AD's spot.

It is the commissioner I think.

In league ownership news, an arbitration panel has ruled in favor of Marc Lore and Arod in the Timberwolves sale dispute.  For those that forget, last year Glen Taylor tried to back out of the deal that had been previously agreed to.  The final step now is ownership approval from the rest of the NBA.  I bet Arod and Lore are thrilled at the KAT trade that was made in the meantime (after Taylor tried to spread stories that those two were going to break apart the team, he did it first).

The good news is, you'll see the entire stadium in his jersey  :P

Their biggest issue is, I have no idea who their #2 is or if they really have one. I doubt Randle is capable of being a #2. Then it's Gobert, McDaniels, Reid, but none of them are really prolific, consistent scorers who can help Ant. KAT used to be that guy who could provide that consistent secondary scoring

I can't believe ESPN is so quick to air that game tonight when they quickly made the decision to air Pacers/Lakers on Saturday noon lol

If you want a sign that Zion will never get close to his potential, here it is, against OKC he finished with 2 rebounds.

Yes it was a blow out and yes he only played 26 minutes, but a guy with his frame and his athleticism, 2 rebounds is embarrassing.

Now look at Prichard, he is barely 6 feet tall and manages to get 10 boards.

It is all down to effort.
