Nope.  Their front office is leaking unrealistic "rumors" so that their fan base thinks that they're trying and will keep buying wildly overpriced tickets.  It's like when Wyc promised "fireworks", just indirectly.

In the last two hours I've seen reporters report that the Warriors are in on everyone lol (Durant, Paul George, Giannis, Lebron, etc.). Kind of like the Red Sox in MLB

Several people within the Warriors front office have dreams of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry all teaming up together on the Golden State Warriors,
 
Sources say the most ambitious idea being tossed around among Golden State's decision-makers: Is there any feasible pathway for the Warriors to pull off the dreamiest of outcomes and find a way to bring both James and Durant to The Bay.

I'm trying to figure out how it could work but man that'd be something.

That said assuming Lebron stays which I expect, I still think Golden State should consider adding Durant back. See if Curry and Durant can rekindle some magic together. It'd definitely mean they give up Draymond or Wiggins though but I think it's worth the risk especially if it's Draymond and they keep Wiggins. Golden State is going nowhere otherwise and they have a much better chance at making 1 or 2 runs with Curry if they have Curry/Durant/Wiggins.

Actually now that I think about it, I think Phoenix and Miami can get a deal done. Essentially it's a Butler-Durant swap, with 1 additional young player (like Highsmith/Jacquez/Jovic) and 1 future first round pick going to Phoenix as well. Change of sceneries for all and it works out.

Miami can have a Big 3 of Durant/Bam/Herro and solid depth with 2 of Highsmith/Jovic/Jacquez, Ware and Rozier. Herro has his flaws and I don't think he's a #2 but he can definitely be a great 3rd option on a contender. This isn't prime Durant but he's still a great player and a guy who is an automatic 20-25 PPG. Sometimes Miami's issue is putting up points and Butler hasn't given them that this season as well between his slight regression and the off-court drama.

Phoenix gets Butler, and then they can dump Nurkic as well to another team in another trade to get some salary relief. They remain competitive with Beal, Booker and others.

?Phoenix, entering Monday's business, continued to signal that it does not plan to move Durant before the deadline, sources said, but the Suns are believed to be listening at the very least to various teams' pitches for the 35-year-old scoring legend. Durant, meanwhile, is said to be aware of all this.?

Some other reports have also confirmed this. It's not Phoenix's "first choice" to just trade Durant but they are listening. I personally think their goal is to try and create a Big 3 with Butler/Durant/Booker, while dumping Beal somewhere.

Jalen Johnson was ruled out for the remainder of the season a day or two ago. Big loss for Atlanta. Their 2nd best player this season. This may put them back in the play in bubble. They had looked like a 4th/5th seed after a slow start. Shame.

Looking at the East, there are 4 teams out of the playoff picture. Washington, Charlotte, Brooklyn and Toronto. So the final play-in spot looks like it will come down to Atlanta versus Chicago.

Atlanta's 2nd best player just had a season ending injury whilst Chicago's 2025 1st round pick is top 10 protected so they are incentivized to tank in order to keep their pick. Trading Vucevic this week would go a long way to securing that bottom 10 finish.

Lol same. Injuries have been their biggest issue. Not just Embiid but also PG13, McCain (out for year), etc. Maxey has done his best to keep them afloat but they've also had a tough schedule at times. I still think they can just have a good month at some point and secure a 9 or 10 seed. Even now they are only like 1 back of a play-in spot.

The West is hard to get a grip of after these 2 blockbuster trades.

Tier 1 = the frontrunner = OKC

Tier 2 = Contenders = Memphis, San Antonio, Houston, Denver

Tier 3 = playoff teams = Dallas, Phoenix, Minnesota, LA Clippers

Tier 4 = Borderline playoff teams = LA Lakers, Sacramento, Golden State

So only 1 of these 3 teams would earn the final play-in spot. Spurs are currently 4 games back off a play-in spot so they will likely finish in the play-in spot but talent wise I see them as above several of these teams once the playoffs start. So all teams other than San Antonio from the top 3 tiers should be the top 8 in the West. Then Spurs plus one of the 3 from tier 4.

Tier 5 = Lottery teams = Portland, Utah, Pelicans

Beal is fine where he is and has a no trade clause. Beal has never prioritized winning. He was with Washington forever and was fine with it. Good luck to The Suns...
