Brandon Jennings "calling out" Tatum has to be one of the more pathetic things I've seen. An average NBA player calling a Top-5 talent in the league "soft"   ::)

I guess it really is just the new podcast culture of the NBA now. Even guys like Shaq go on these shows and rip apart current players. Then you have bums like Jennings saying this stuff just to be relevant again.

I was happy to see JT be petty about it with his recent IG post. Hopefully it also sparks him and the team going forward.

Oh and btw, in All-Star voting Tatum is 3rd OVERALL and very close to Jokic who is at #2, in the entire NBA. That's not some "soft superstar"

Brandon Jennings? Never heard of her

Exactly.   Wait I looked him up.   The Brandon Jennings that played exactly 25 playoff games and in those games only won 1 playoff series his whole career?   That Jennings is telling JT, who has played 113 playoff games, won 14 of those series out 20, won an NBA title, is all NBA.   Brandon Jennings is telling Tatum he is soft?   Jennings needs to shut his mouth and crawl back into his loser hole.

Yes he does.

I am also not a fan of Gilbert Arenas who was a better player than Jennings. Beyond that, why do CURRENT NBA players show up on podcasts? Seems like a recipe for trouble. Is such notoriety so important to these young guys?

The Philadelphia 76ers have ruled Jared McCain out for the remainder of the season after he was reevaluated by the surgeon who repaired his torn meniscus. With McCain undergoing a repair and not a removal, a longer recovery was always anticipated.

McCain underwent the surgery on December 17th and the Sixers indicated his recovery is going well.

McCain averaged 15.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 25.7 minutes over 23 games with the Sixers.

A blow for the 76ers. He gave them a 4th scorer.

More pressure on their Big 3 of Embiid, Maxey & PG13.

They still have a title contending team without McCain.

G: Maxey, Lowry
G: Oubre, E Gordon
F: C Martin, KJ Martin
F: P George, Yabu
C: Embiid, Drummond

Probably less small backcourts. Stay bigger on the wing with Oubre at SG. Rely more on defense & the Big 3 for offense as route to winning games.

To a lot of them it is.  Look at Grant Williams.  He decided it would be more fruitful for his career to go from a loveable role player who was obsessed with Settlers of Canaan to a pod-casting, trash-talking goon.

Pelicans announce that forward Herb Jones has been diagnosed with a posterior labrum tear in his right shoulder. An MRI taken yesterday confirmed the injury.

Jones will be out indefinitely and further updates will be appropriately provided.

Pat Riley on people calling him washed after the Celtics won the title Whoever?s saying that I haven?t read it because I?m not on any social media site and I don?t care. I?ve had my a** kicked by the Celtics enough when I was coaching and they?re a great team. I don?t worry about what critics say because maybe I am? Maybe I should go somewhere and just put my feet up but I would then become obsessive about doing something else. Via @LeBatardShow )

Sources: New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has been late for multiple practices this season on top of being late for the team?s flight to Philadelphia. These incidents led to the one-game suspension.

Zion's been a big disappointment since coming to the league. Many thought he was the next face of the NBA and the "next Lebron" and he's been far from it. I wonder if the Pelicans decide to trade him at some point either at the deadline or this offseason.

Good test for NYK tonight against OKC.

Opportunity for NYK to show they are legit. Not convinced by them thus far. Look more like a 2nd tier team than a top tier team which is disappointing. I think they should be better than that.

Not meeting that test thus far. Almost getting doubled up with just a few minutes before halftime to go.

They seem more bark than bite to me. They've been beating up on a lot of bad teams, but I think they're actually under .500 against .500 teams this season. Not great.

I think NY is a tick under OKC/CLE/BOS this season. A high "2nd tier" team but not 1st

I was looking at the box scores from last night. New Orleans beat Philadelphia who were without Embiid but they still had PG13 and Maxey. The Pelicans had no Ingram, no Zion, no Herb Jones, no Trey Murphy III.

New Orleans played a starting lineup with 3 small guards, one small wing and one small rookie big man.

G: D Murray
G: CJ McCollum
G: J Hawkins
F: Javonte Green
C: Y Missi

That is a tiny lineup. Philly should feasted on that team. Javonte Green was their biggest non-big man at 6-5 210lbs.

Embarrassing loss for Philly.

Speaking of embarrassing

(1) Mikal Bridges went scoreless against OKC. 0pts in 32min.
(2) Anunoby only had 4pts in 36min.

Their two star forwards giving only 4pts in 68min. Awful. They gotta do more than that.

NY were 4-31 on 3PTA against OKC. 12.9%.

The Chicago Bulls have been a surprise for me this season. They are near .500 with 18 wins and 20 losses as we near the midpoint of the season.

I thought they would be a bottom 5 team in the league.

I just don't think the Sixers will have enough time to really build chemistry as a team. Embiid is always hurt. PG13 is also injury prone. McCain is now lost for the season too.

I mean yeah, I still wouldn't want to play them in an early round series IF all of Embiid/George/Maxey are healthy. But the Sixers still have to actually get through the play-in and that's even assuming they can stay healthy. Embiid's knee and ankle feels like it'll be an issue all year long too.

The Sixers have been losing games without Embiid that they should be winning (Suns, Pelicans)

Paul George complaining about Nick Nurse using him as a small ball center so much.

No Embiid. No Drummond. Both injured. No legit center.

Edit: I watched the Q&A. It wasn't that bad. PG13 said he found it boring playing against centers. You don't have enough to do defensively. He prefers chasing guys around the perimeter. Not a real complaint about playing the position or against Nurse. Non-issue.
