Brogdon had a big game. 31pts, 7ast, 4rebs, 2stl.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

More than don?t care, I don?t like it at all. I hope the Celtics don?t make it to Vegas.

I hate those stupid courts. They are an eye-sore.

So the Celtics finish with a +23 point differential. The other teams in the running through three games are....
Orlando at +60
Bucks at +29
Detroit at +28
Knicks at +15

So in order to make the cup tournament they will need...

Orlando to beat New York on Tuesday
and
Either Milwaukee to beat Detroit by 5+ or Detroit to beat Milwaukee by 6+ on Tuesday

Not unfathomable

The big thing is Orlando needing to beat NY, but if they do that then all of a sudden the C's chances might be pretty good. MIL-DET to me does feel like it could be a double digit win for one side.

It's a pathetic event where a team can be 16-3 with a +10.5 point differential and likely not make the "tournament."

What a joke. Either do it right or don't bother.

It is what it is.  If a bunch of teams go 3-1 someone has to lose out.  Celts lost to a mediocre team.

I think they should use the round play for seeding but let everyone into a single elimination tournament like NCAAs.  It would be a scheduling nightmare but more fun.
Yup

I enjoy the tournament novelty but the courts are awful and dumb.

I like our court.  Any of the red / pink ones are terrible.

I am shocked the Nets are 9-11 to start the season. I expected them to be among the worst teams in the league. I don't think they will keep it up but they keep hanging in games when I expect them to lose and pulling some of them out.

Memphis wearing old school Grizzlies jerseys from their Vancouver days. I always liked those.

Good matchup between Ja Morant and Tyrese Haliburton. Top PGs with different styles.

I keep getting bummed out when I turn on a Grizzlies game and see Zach Edey is not playing. He makes Memphis fun. They are too small without his presence in the paint. They need that big guy. Like they had with S Adams or J Valanciunas.

The leaguewide presumption about the Jazz nonetheless persists that Collins like fellow veterans Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton is a prime candidate to be dealt between now and the Feb. 6 trade deadline by Jazz CEO Danny Ainge.  via marcstein.substack.com

SGA just drew 4 fouls on one possession up the court.

2 on D Brooks and 2 on Jalen Green.

Orlando Magic, won 12 of their last 13 games and 2 games behind Boston. Boston and Cleveland with the top 2 seeds, throwing back to 2009 again.

Lakers with a 9 man rotation tonight. Their 4 bench players are are Max Christie (best bench player), J Hood Schifino, A Traore (who??), C Koloko. That is terrible. Max Christie is the only halfway decent guy there and he is still so dodgy offensively that he is a below average bench player. The other 3 are all 3rd stringers.
