At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Haha, Luka is crazy. I don't know how he makes so many off balance jump shots. So many off stand still / pivoting positions as well. Contested shots.

Freak.

Gobert tries his best when the guard switches on to him, but he just looks so dang goofy!  ;D ;D

Lakers need to finish strong here. Keep it at 20pts.

Don't want to let up and allow Minny to cut it to 12-15pts entering the half.

I don't think Minny should have benched Naz Reid or DiVincenzo due to foul trouble. Who cares about their fouls? You need scoring. They are your two best scorers in your supporting cast. The other guys are not coming through. Play them.

I never understand coaches benching role players due to foul trouble. I get it with some stars because you want them late for their shot creation. But why are you so worried about a bench player? Never made any sense to me.

Oh my god. What a scooping shot / layup by Luka under Randle. Beautiful.

Huh. Lead back up 21pts. Looked like Minny were right back in it when they cut the lead to 11pts. Good response by LAL. I am surprised it went back up so quickly though. Minny were right there. Primed to make this a close game.

All these challenges are taking the steam out of the game.

Nice pass by DiVincenzo to Gobert for the easy 2.

I've seen quite a few people comment that outside of Conley, none of the other T'Wolves players look for Gobert on his rolls to the basket. They are not good enough passers. They miss Gobert when he is open.

If Gobert played with a better playmaker like a Harden, Luka, LeBron, Trae, he'd be scoring more points. It is Minny's lack of passing that fails to exploit the opportunities he creates for himself off-ball.

Do Minnesota ever play Randle, Naz and Gobert together?

I have been wondering whether that would be a good lineup against this Lakers team. With a big backcourt. Ant in one slot. Then either DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels or NAW. Preferably not NAW but maybe you need his ball-handling.

Put a lot of length out there defensively. Limit Lakers opporunities to exploit Minny's lack of size at guard. I think Naz can defend LeBron. Randle on Luka. Ant takes A Reaves.

Vanderbilt needed to shoot that.

LAL keep giving Minny openings to come back into this. They haven't managed it yet but plenty of time still to go. 8min 11pt game.
