Oh wow - what an awful missed wide open dunk by Gordon. That could be huge.

Imagine losing a playoff game because of a missed dunk in the final 3min.

Good grief, Jokic. Don?t start the flopping. You?re too dominant for that.

Why don't you call a timeout after Braun's miss? After Jokic gets the rebound. Set something up.

Kawhi is still a killer.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wow. You have to call the timeout there. Yeah, you allow them to set their defense, but you ended up with two poor looks for three there.

At the very least call timeout once you secure the offensive rebound and Jokic is scrambling.

Kawhi

15-19 FGA
4-7 3PTA
5-5 FTA

39pts
5ast
2stl
1blk
3reb

Clippers outside of Kawhi were

26-66 FGA for 39.4% FG%
9-27 3PTA for 33.3% 3PT%

The Nuggets should be pretty happy with what they did to the rest of the Clippers. Kawhi just had an All-Time performance and won his team the game despite lackluster offensive performances elsewhere for the Clips.

I think I?ll be bummed if Kawhi gets hurt again. That was a phenomenal performance.

Aaron Wiggins on Lu Dort not being a DPOY finalist:

"I think it's insane. I do think there's a lack of - I don't wanna say attention to our team, but in terms of the way we played statistically defensively and the year we had, that doesnt happen without elite defensive players. Lu specifically is the main dude. He guards the best guards, the best wings, and even sometimes the forwards. Ive watched him for years now not get credit for the work that he does."

Legler picked Dort as his choice for DPOY.

The finalists were Draymond, Evan Mobley, Dyson Daniels.

Dončić has made the Lakers a better team, with 43.2% of their attempts being from beyond the arc (third in the NBA) since the trade. By comparison, they ranked 26th with just 35.8% of their attempts coming from the three-point line.

"He's just a great player," says Vanderbilt. "He has a high IQ. He's able to take the game and make plays and see plays that very few people can see or make, and he just makes the game easier for everybody around him. We started to feed off of him as we adjusted to playing with him these last couple months, been able to get more chemistry with him going into the playoffs. It's been great."

Interesting stat showing the spike in 3PTA after Luka joined.

Eric Nehm: Asked about Damian Lillard's availability for Game 2, Doc Rivers said he didn't know if Lillard would be available, but said he looks good. Rivers said Lillard practiced today and he's gone through live scrimmages the last two days. "He's close. He looks great to me." - Rivers

I saw a more recent update than this that upgraded Lillard's status from out to uncertain for Game 2.

Brunson is unwatchable. He does nothing but flop, cry, jump into defenders, pushes off. He is everything wrong with the NBA.

It really was. He looked pretty close to Toronto Kawhi. Just dominant.

I think the Celtics would pretty easily beat eitehr Detroit or New York in round 2, but i very much hope it ends up being Detroit becasue i don't want to watch Brunson foul bait for 4 or 5 games.
