Clippers Big 3 have led the way

* Kawhi = 32pts 5reb 7ast 3stl 13-18 FGA 2-3 FTA
* Harden = 27pts 10ast 10-19 FGA 4-5 FTA
* Zubac = 22pts 16reb 3ast 10-16 FGA

Norm Powell and Kris Dunn have helped. Both guys have 11pts. Dunn on 4-4 FGA with 6ast and 3stl. Norm on a negative 4-13 FGA 2reb 0ast.

The bench did little. Bogs with 5pts on 2-7 FGA. DJJ 3pts 5reb. Ben 0pts 2reb. Coffey 0pts in 4min.

Wolves win and secured 6th seed.

Looks like a first-round bye for LAL, one-man Antman can't beat their Big 3.

Basically first two rounds are bye series for the Lakers lol. They'll curbstomp the Rockets next round as well

Wow, Clips robbed us of a first round GSW-LAL series. Rats.

Great game.

2 of the best teams in the West. I hope they meet at some point in the playoffs. It would be a great series.

Wemby's first 2 seasons

2023-24 = 22 wins 60 losses
2024-25 = 34 wins 48 losses

Wemby played 71 games in 2023-24. They were 19-52 with him and 3-8 without him. In 2024-25, they were 21-25 with Wemby (37-38 win pace) and 13-23 (29-30 win pace) without him.

The individual performances have been impressive but the team performances are still lacking some. San Antonio should be a title contender next season with the roster they have. Whether they are or are not, will say a lot about where Wemby's game is at.

I was watching an ESPN segment previewing the Pistons and Knicks series. Perk had a couple of statements about Cade:

(1) Perk is voting for Cade for 1st Team All-NBA alongside SGA, Tatum, Giannis, Jokic.

(2) Cade will win a league MVP. He will be the next American to win the MVP. SGA will get it this year but he is Canadian. Cade will be the guy to bring the MVP back to America.

(3) Cade will be the best player in the Knicks vs Pistons series and the team with the best player often wins.

Personally, I'd go Brunson over Cade as best player in the series.

On another segment, I saw Perk picking the Clippers as his sleeper team in the West.

I also saw Charles Barkley in an interview pick the Clippers as the 2nd best team in the West.

What the heck are you even talking about lol. The lakers are barely favored to beat the wolves.

The Wolves had no answer for Luka in the WCF last season. Luka put up 32.4ppg 9.6rpg 8.2apg 2.2spg on 47.3% FG% 43.4% 3PT% 84.6% FT% on 39 FTA against 112 FGA. 62.7% TS%.

Jalen McDaniels lacked the strength necessary to bother Luka. Jalen is a finesse defender. He struggles with Luka's bulk and physicality. The Wolves other wing defenders are Ant & DiVincenzo. Both advantageous matchups for Luka.

That said, I am more worried about Minny's offense than their defense.

I don't think they can score enough to keep up with Luka, LeBron and A Reaves. Ant is awesome but beyond him they lack a reliable 2nd option & 3rd option. Randle is all they got and he is inconsistent. The rest of the guys are 10-14ppg scorers. I don't think Ant can overcome Luka, LeBron and A Reaves by himself.

Honestly, Minnesota might be a harder series for the Lakers.

The Lakers have no one who can effectively guard Edwards or Randle. I am curious how useful Golbert will be in this matchup.

Yeah, this may all be true at some point regarding Cade, but I am not sure he is quite there yet.

Looks like Celtics game 1 will be on Sunday although TBD on time.  I'd imagine it'd be a afternoon start, though.

No Patriots Day tripleheader of Sox/Marathon/Celtics this year.
