With the Raiders win and Pats L today, the Patriots are now sitting at the #2 in the tank race.

Looked to me like there was interference on the interception and the designed backwards pass to a rb with stone hands was a head scratcher of a play call destined to fail. To me most of Mayes turnovers havent really been his fault thus far. A few bad thrown picks but remember theres been multiple INT's that have hit our receivers right in the hands and they cant hold onto the ball.

I say all that to say im not too worried about Maye, i think he could be nice next year with a competent line and actual receivers
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Drake Maye was limping after that TD pass to Hunter Henry. Ughh, when will this OL be improved.

Pats continue to be inept. At least they?ll get a high pick out of this mess of a season.

Best result possible - a loss. Keeps #1 in play

My hope for the final two weeks is, Maye balls out and the team loses. Go 3-14 and secure the #2 pick, maybe even #1 if the Giants win a game.

Whether it's taking Travis Hunter outright or using that pick to trade down and get a haul of additional picks, I think the #2 pick can be a premium asset to have. Need to lose both games to get that. Otherwise, there's a ton of other teams at 3 or 4 wins only and winning a game probably puts us in the 6-8 range which is no longer sexy.

I mean I guess we can take a tackle with a pick in that range but we could probably still do that with the additional picks by trading down from #2 (or using a very early 2nd on it).

Not sure why first one out the door shouldn?t be Wolfe.  Play-calling is probably not easy when their guys are always better than your guys.  This roster is mighty bad.  AVP did help Maye (apparently).  But I?m ok with letting them all go.  Defense has been more of a disappointment than the offense.

And the drubbing they?re experiencing at the moment won?t help ease any of the calls for their heads.  Bringing in Vrabel would excite the masses.   Not sure what they can do to find a talented GM. Need one this offseason.

Nowadays beating the Chargers in Foxboro is a tall task, but tbh, that's any team coming here. But I guess that's what happens when the roster blows and there's a bunch of inept coaching  :-\

Maye to Douglas for 36-yard TD. 17-7 game now. It would be the most Charger thing if they choke this

I agree with all this but it would be good to get a good feel for what trading back from 2 would get them. Who?d be interested in trading up?

Wow - big play Maye to Douglass.  Suddenly, it?s a game

WHAT THE HELL???

HE MISSED THE FIELD GOAL, HOW DID THEY SAY IT'S GOOD!?!?

I mean yeah it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but JESUS these referees this season are absolutely atrocious. Shades of 2012 Justin Tucker vs. NE

Wolfe can go too. But can someone explain to me why we are running stupid trick plays every week with a rookie qb, no o line, and no playmakers? We have no business running trick plays but 2 weeks in a row we lost a fumble on one LOL.

You kind of answered your own question. The roster is so bad that they almost have to run a few trick plays each game just to get chunk plays and maybe get a surprise result.

THAT is on Wolf.

Btw, how are we loving Ladd McConkey just toying with us and scoring a TD on our defense as well. Could have had him! But Wolf TRADED DOWN from that pick and took Polk.

The coaching is very subpar but I sort of agree, idk why Wolf escapes a lot of criticism. His draft and FA were absolutely terrible. I don't even give him much credit for the Maye pick, he just fell to them at 3. It was fairly easy, just see who fell to 3 between Jayden Daniels and Maye and take that guy. I have zero faith he and the others upstairs can get it right this offseason too, what history is there to believe they can identify and acquire the elite talent??
