2 year, vet minimum is a bargain for Tillman. Wow. Perhaps he sees this year as an opportunity to up his value for a payday?

Two years at the minimum.

I am surprised Tillman couldn't get more than that.

Xavier Tillman's deal is fully guaranteed for two years at the minimum, sources tell @TheAthletic.

That?s a win.

Wow.  Huge win.  He can't even leave if he has a breakout year.

Yeah.  I need to run the numbers, but I think the C?s are close enough to the second apron they might be able to get under if they dump Springer at the deadline and some bonuses aren?t reached.  Not positive, but it?s close, unless I?ve forgotten a player (which is not impossible).

Shocked at this.  Happy he's back at this price.

I'm not surprised by X only getting the minimum (Kornet only got the minimum), but I am delighted it happened. Without eye popping production, guys like him can sometimes get squeezed by the salary cap. We're lucky to get him on such a great deal. He's a nice fit both on the floor and in the locker room.

This would be interesting if it could be done.  It would be tremendous if they could manage this.

That would be interesting.  If it takes more than Springer, or if he had no market, would the team dump Pritchard and pick somebody off the scrap heap at the deadline if it guaranteed they'd stay below the second apron?  That would be a fascinating discussion.

Probably too far over it after all.  I had an old second apron estimate in my spreadsheet; forgot to adjust it when the real number came out.

Stupid Celtics, should have lost more games in the playoffs to raise league revenue.

Heh.  Probably wouldn?t have mattered because JB would have made more.  But if KP remains out too long you will hear me argue that we should explore a trade with Memphis to swap him with Jaren Jackson Jr, and then we can have a real conversation about getting all the way under the apron.

Tillman is back!  And if this is on the minimum as suggested, it's a real bargain get!

We're running it back!  Let's get #19!

Possible Bobby Portis type situation? Two years at the minimum, then we have full bird rights to sign him to whatever contract we want.

Tillman isn't the offensive player Portis is, but if he can develop his shooting, he could become a very valuable player.

For some reason your post made me think of this scene in A Bronx Tale.

Good that we got him on what I'd argue is a bargain.  We need him specifically for Giannis, Luka, Randle, etc.  He did an admirable job against Luka in the Finals in his limited minutes.

Horford 2.0 is back!

Seems he got a late start recovering from some injury when they signed him last season.    I?m thinking he?ll be healthier and more familiar to the team , comfortable and accepting his role. He might show improvement this season I believe .
A really likable guy with perfect team attitude.
