How's Scheierman's defense? I think that will be the biggest factor in deciding if he sees the floor this season.

I think we can hope he ends up like a Duncan Robinson or Sam Hauser. Here is where I see him fitting in nicely:Holiday Pritchard SpringerWhite Hauser-TO ScheiermanBrown [ Vet? ] WalshTatum [ Tillman? ] Queta-TOPorzingis Horford [ Kornet? ]That is not a terrible 3rd unit. He would fit right in to that Mykhailiuk slot, but hopefully with more upside. If we do take a player in the 2nd round, I see that player as a 2-way, so may as well go for a high ceiling type.I do feel we need a legit reliable vet for that second unit wing/swing role, doesn't seem we have someone for that role right now. Then I wonder if we keep all 3 of Tillman, Kornet, and Queta. I would prioritize Tillman as he fits that PF role better. Kornet is better than Queta but may cost more $$$. Knowing that Porzingis will miss games, Kornet has some value.I think he is better than Robinson. Baylor is much more of a play maker and rebounder. Boston need to get 2 bigs off the bench because they are going to be needed to play. And like you said, a vet wing behind JB would help.Scheierman's stats remind me of Podziemski last year only in a bigger body / frame. At 6-6 200lbs vs 6-3 200lbs. The rebounding. The passing. The abiity to be a connectivity player.I thought Podz was great for GSW last year. He wasn't the defender they needed at guard due to his size but his offense was fantastic especially his ball-handling and passing. They needed that connectivity player. Is that an interesting comp for Scheierman? Podz in a bigger body would be a great pickup.

Downside of this pick: potentially years of spelling errors. The "three consecutive vowel" thing is always tricky. But seriously, I like the pick. I just have no luck or ability in determining which prospects will hit, and which won't.

He shouldn't have a problem getting that # 55.

As one BS to another, I wonder if Baylor reminds Brad of Gordon Hayward when he played for Butler? Not that he?s going to develop into a Hayward type, but he?s got similar size and skill set.
