Not seen all the games, but what I did see I wasn't that impressed with Scheierman so far. I think there's precisely zero chance he cracks the rotation based on his current level of competence. Obviously it's just summer league and everyone else is trying to impress, but I think he himself was trying a little too hard. I think some time in the G-league will do him good.

The guy I've been most impressed with, other than Queta and Peterson who has been in the program for a year already, is that kid Anton Watson. I think he's definitely showing some promise.

I been banging the Watson drum, good to hear a few others picking up the beat.

I think in short order he could fill out the Brissett role. Springer and Tillman will have something to say about that but?.he?s a legitimate option.

I haven't seen the Celtics SL games. Has A Watson looked more like a forward or a big man? Like a PF/SF? Or a PF/C?

He?s kind of like a versatile wing that can also play as a stretch big. He has a 7 foot wingspan, he?s a solid rebounder, and he?s been shooting the 3 in SL. He defended people like Edey in college so he can defend bigs, whether we want him banging in there long term depends on whether he can bulk up to defend NBA bigs. Kevin O?Connor is talking about him as a potential long term replacement for Al in terms of type of player he is but I think he?s probably more of a bigger GWill type at 6-8.

His offense is his weakest spot and greatest potential for improvement.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

He has good ball control in pressure , nose for rebounds and is very smooth efficient mover , he has good court presence, does look all emotional and out of sorts when makes a mistake . Needs to add some offensive moves and practice his three.  Potential.

This is his problem a bit. He?s a 4, not quite big enough be a 5, not quite quick enough to be a 3. His best chance to stick in the league would be to bulk up enuff to be more of a 4/5. That being said, he can guard all those positions, he?s very switchable on defense. His best offense is his IQ, he moves to good spots on the floor for open passes. And generally finishes if open, but lacks confidence in his shot for some reason. He looks really good when he?s aggressive but can be out athleted by defenders, hence prolly his hesitancy.

I think Watson will be a rotation player next year.  I think he can do what Tillman does but more.  Watson seems to have decent shooting form.  His defense has been as advertised.  I think his big key will be getting into NBA shape through the NBA Program.  A lot of these college guys don't focus on their nutrition, body etc until the get to the NBA level.  A year of working out, training with top flight trainers and we will see a different guy next year.  He has the tools and I think in the long run he will have a longer and better career then Jordan Walsh.  That's the kid who looks lost.  His shot hasn't improved at all and looks broken.  I do think that Watson has a translatable skill in his defense that will allow him to have a career.  If he proves he can hit open shots he will 100% be a rotation player.  If he can't shoot then he will not be on an NBA roster long.  His D however is NBA ready.  I like Watson.

As for Baylor I think he will be fine.  He will be better with the varsity squad then he is with all of these g league players.
