Open for business.  I'll work my best to try and keep the big board updated as the draft progresses (at least the first round).

A few reminders.

-A reminder that new this year, the draft is now a two day event.  First round tonight and second round late afternoon tomorrow.

-Please no tipping picks.  Not every one is glued to Twitter so please don't announce picks ahead of time in this thread. You will be tossed.

-We've archived previous draft threads going all the way back to 2008.  Feel free to peruse and see how right (or wrong) you were in the past.    https://forum.celticsstrong.com/index.php?topic=70840.0

Enjoy the draft tonight!

This draft has no script whatsoever.

Like a lot of folks, I do not follow college or international hoops at all. My main reason for watching will be to start to learn about these new NBA players, and to be aware of draft-night trades.

A lot different than the years of expecting "fireworks"

With Brad I have learned to expect the unexpected.  Nothing he does will shock me after the Porzingis-Smart trade the night before last year?s draft.

I am not expecting anything big to happen for the Celtics related to the draft but don't we have to retire the "fireworks" jokes after Porzingis trade and the Holiday trade?

At this point, I hope their aren't any fireworks.  They will probably trade the first rounder for future second rounders, maybe flip some future seconds to move up in the second, pick someone I never hear of, and sign them to a 2-way.  Then sign an unexciting vet or 2 for the bench in July.  Also maybe extend Hauser.

IIRC, it was not the draft specifically that elicited the historical Wyc fireworks comment but more about the off-season in general.

Whatever happens tonight I hope the C's walk away with at least 1 guaranteed contract young guy to develop, similar to Jordan Walsh last year. Don't care if that's a pick 30, or if they trade down to the 30's somewhere and get future picks. In any case they need to get some cheap youth on the roster to develop. It could save them A LOT of money long term.

Praying the C's draft Filipowski or Holmes, or some developmental PF/C

I know Brad wants to trade down but does anyone want to trade up with Boston?

I guess this question probably asked every year, but does Atlanta really need 5 minutes to make their selection?

Woooohoooo I don?t care if it?s a bad draft I always get hyped for draft night. Devin Carter is my favorite player available, I?d take him over Castle.

Risacher stinks. I think I?d go Clingan if I was Atl.

Good draft to everyone!

No but it happens in football too. #1 pick takes like 10 minutes  :P

Like yeah, I was so shocked the Bears selected Caleb Williams at #1!
