Tatum seeing the world this off-season. I hope he gets in some practice time. JB undoubtedly working on his game.

Amazing that we?re only about a month from training camp.  Love the short off-season when Cs are in the finals, though it?s a quick turnaround to a long season.  DW, JH, and JT are going to feel like they had no break.  Hope it doesn?t result in injuries or exhaustion.  At least KP got a lot of time - and will have more as he recovers.

Precisely why Tatum should be traveling instead of training. He?s been playing/practicing basically since last September.

He will have enough time when camp opens to get to where he needs physically. Mentally he needs the time off now.

And these pics are only a snapshot of their lives. Just because it's not on social, it doesn't mean he's not getting in practice time - and that's not including the practice time he just got in with Team USA.

Looks like most of the Celtics bench, including Xavier Tillman, Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, Jordan Walsh, Neemias Queta, Baylor Scheierman, and Anton Watson practiced this week:

Wouldn?t it be great if Queta and/or Tillman took a leap forward?

I?m not disputing his need for some away from the court time. But Finals to Olympics and then a pretty quick turnaround to training camp means minimal time for individualized dedicated work on something he targets for improvement.  Obviously at this point he needs a break, but one of the costs of Finals to Olympics is not having that dedicated time which can be valuable as a still young player.

Tatum is going into year 8 and he?s arguably a top 5 player. Not sure he?s a young player at this stage. I think he will be fine. It?s a long season.

The last couple of off-seasons, JT's focus seems to have been on building bulk.  It will be interest to see if a summer with less intensive weight training makes any sort of difference.

I think this is a good observation.  As Tatum added bulk, it probably took a little bit away from his shooting touch.  It improved his ability to drive to the hoop but diminished his 3-point touch some I suspect.  His stats bear this out and the bulking up could have been a big part of this change.

In another thread about his shooting, there was some worry about his off season workouts.  I think Tatum will be fine.  He played in the Olympics.  That is beneficial to him improving his game and his leadership.  I could have done without the trip to China, that will only wear him down some, but that should not be a big deal.

There is obviously a sweet spot between bulking up and shooting touch.  He needed to bulk up but maybe he went too fair if in fact it is impacting his shooting touch.  Hopefully this summer and preseason will be about getting his touch back up a little and not so much about more bulk.

A lot has been deleted now but there was a bunch of crypto/NFT nonsense up there.  Now there is some pinned tweet regarding anxiety meds.
