Former Celtic Kemba Walker retires.

We got Kemba a few years too late...

Yeah, what if we traded IT for Kemba instead of Kyrie.  Even if he still gets hurt a couple of years later, do we possibly pull past the Cavs in 2018?  Do we make it past Milwaukee in 2019?

He got injured because he played in that All-Star game. Was never the same after that. In that Raptors/Celtics playoff game in the bubble the Raptors just box and 1'd him all series long. Great that we beat the defending champs but unfortunately lost to the Heat the subsequent round.

It's wild that our off-season was basically finished in two days.

I guess the remaining issues are whether we extend Hauser, and whether we sign somebody to the 15th roster spot.

Crazy the continuity we?re going to have after winning the title - not only this coming year but the year after that, too. Has to be unprecedented to have your entire top-10 back (putting X there instead of Oshae) like this, especially with as young as this core is with 4 of our top five guys under 30 and our two best players 27 or under.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Somehow, I'm worried Svi is going to go to some team and he will hit a bunch of 3s to beat us in a game in the playoffs. ;)

Do we need more proof that the chemistry and selflessness of the Cs was one of the best of any championship in the last 30 years? Everyone wants to be here.

Holiday               Pritchard              Springer
White                 Hauser                 Scheierman
Brown                [   Vet?   ]             Walsh
Tatum                Horford                 Tillman
Porzingis            Kornet                  Queta

2-way:  [Watson (2nd Rnd)?], [Peterson (RFA)?], [ Davison? (UFA) ]

With Tillman signed, things look a lot like last season.  Scheierman replaces Mykhailiuk (both hard to spell names), and Brissett is out with no replacement yet.  Still not clear who the 2-ways will be.  I assume that they will try to keep Watson and they made a qualifying offer to Peterson so they are both likely for 2-way deals.  I am not so sure about Davison, but the way things are going, he will probably be back too.

Still one open spot.  Maybe someone like Joe Ingles?  ORL has signed several other players so it does not seem like he will go back there.  He could be a decent fit, if he will play for a min contract.

I wonder if they go into the season with only 14 roster spots filled.  There is no one that would be easy to waive if they need some flexibility.  Everyone will be guaranteed, I think.

I think the cs are done unless there is someone willing to take the vet minimum that the cs didn't think would take one.  I really think they need a wing to rest tatum in the beginning of the year.

Adam Himmelsbach: Xavier Tillman?s 2-year deal is fully guaranteed, I?m told. Also, sources say Oshae Brissett is still hoping to find a team that can offer more playing time, but the door is not fully closed on a Boston return. 14 seconds ago ? via Twitter AdamHimmelsbach

Glad X will be back. Like DWhite he might take a leap with preseason and increased comfort with the team/role. Also hope Luke can continue to improve. He isn?t young but not a lot of miles on him and big?s sometimes experience a later prime.

Moves are probably done unless, as said, there?s a surprise vet min taker OR Brad has a trade target in mind and there?s some interest in PP or Sam and/or Springer/ Walsh and future picks.

Brissett would be a surprise, but sure, it?s not my money, and it?s a rounding error for the Celtics in the grand scheme of payroll this year.  Bring them all back!

I like Svi but Baylor Scheierman is already a better offensive player.

Brissett isn?t needed with Baylor here.
