No interest in going but so glad it?s actually happening.  Hope lots turn out and are sober, safe, and respectful of the city. Great team deserving of this.  Hope Brad gets some big fan response - what a job he?s done.

I think it's a sign of my own mortality that I find wishing for well-behaved Boston sports fans equal parts lovely and appalling.
Was thinking that myself, given the shooting at the KC Chiefs Super Bowl parade.

Saw all the guys including the trophy  ;D

I will say the whole duckboat brigade did go by pretty quick. The entire thing lasted maybe 5 full minutes from where you stood once they came by. (We did manage to get a little closer from this initial picture)

JT said this and all the Heat fans are going ballistic! I think JT was just being sarcastic with the ?easiest path to the championship? narrative. I mean a lot of people were clowning us for beating injured teams and now they?re suddenly getting too sensitive?

  • Let's Go Celtics!
People really give Joe a hard time, but his mentality and passion really fit Boston so well.

Looks like he got his tooth fixed! Better stick to passing basketballs though.

I like White's shirt, it's a reference to Joe winning Coach of the Month.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I wish these forums allowed to embed youtube videos and tweets.

In any case, it was all worth it because of this.

Man, the parade looked insane! I told my wife that if they win it next year we?re booking tickets. We?ll take the kids with us and they can miss some of their baseball tournaments if they have to haha

The parade was off the hook.  Got there 2.5 hours early, people already swarming around TD Garden.  Went down the road on to Staniford St at the intersection with Merrimac St.  Was in the front row by the barrier.  Got a picture of Wyc walking down Staniford with the trophy about 1.5 hours before the parade started.  Also got lucky that KP happened to walk through Staniford and was nice enough to high-five a bunch of the fans.  PP briefly walked right past me but I didn't realize it in time to get a picture.

These other two photos are just random pictures I took of the crowd.  The first one shows the volume of people just along Staniford alone.  The second is along Boylston St.  I ran all over the place to try to get good footage.  I'm in good shape but I was exhausted.

Most of my best footage is in video form.  I have a 16 min video of the entire parade going through Staniford, and a bunch of other clips I took mostly of Tatum with the Larry OBrien trophy (Wyc was on the same duckboat) and of JB.

I'll try to share more pictures later.  I spent a lot of money to travel to Boston on short notice but it was completely worth it.  Boston is a beautiful city with awesome fans.  It was a sea of Celtics green.  And there were multiple chants of "F Kyrie" breaking out randomly across the parade.

To be fair, as much as the Heat have given us problems the Celtics in the last 3 playoff matchups have only lost like 2 games in miami
