Before the series started, I said I wanted to see a sweep to shut up the media and all the haters, but I guessed that 5 games with the win at home would work fine.

I still feel (90%) that Boston is a much better team and will win Monday night and give the city #18.  A quick look at an earlier season blowout....back in Jan. the Cs got crushed by 33 from the Bucks and came back the next game against Houston and won by 32.  I know it is not the same team or the playoffs, but the Cs showed us they could come back from a tough defeat.  In the Cleveland series the Cs lost by 24 and came back the next game to win by 13.  This team can't be compared to previous year teams.  These guys are older and better than last year or before.  White, Jrue, JB, and JT are ready to kick some ass....Celtics in 5 for #18!

This forum tends to overreact to losses, we all know that  :police:

Personally I?m not too worried? it was clear that they mailed it in halfway through the game. Their goal was to leave Dallas with one win and their body language after Game 3 was that they had achieved the minimum of what they set out to do. They came out game 4 unprepared and got thumped by a desperate team.

Yes the manner of the defeat was ugly but I don?t think it?s a reflection of any newfound gulf between the teams. we shot 34% of course we?re going to get thrashed.

I think we all know that in our rational minds, and we knew it was going to be tough to sweep, because because only 2% of poll respondents predicted a sweep. 83% said either 4-1 or 4-2 and 9% said it would go 7. But when defeat comes it?s always painful especially in the manner it did. Especially since we?re so close! One win. So we feel they let us down. But it?s still only one hame. We still only have to win 1 of 3, Dallas need to win all 3.

I think the team we will see on Monday won?t resemble the one on Friday, in effort at least.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Very confident we will win.  Teams that fall down 0-3 in a series are 0-152 all time.  And the Celtics are definitely the superior team, especially if Zinger is able to contribute.

Both teams have put together miserable stretches of basketball throughout this series.  It's concerning that Boston did so poorly last game, but they've shown in recent years that they respond well after a loss.  I felt like they were due for a loss.  It's hard enough to win 3 straight games in the playoffs, much less 4.

One way to look at it - we could not ask for a better position heading into game 5.  We're up 3-1 and heading back home.  Not 2-2 or 1-3.

Sad, we didn?t shut everyone up with a historic run but still 100% confident in a happy ending. Feel good about Monday.

Hope for the best and expect the worst.
I would be shocked if they play poorly Monday

Excited to watch more basketball, though I?m perfectly happy with just one more in Boston. Great season.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Six.

That?s the number of home losses the Celtics have had this season?including the playoffs.

This why you went all in for home court. Game 5 are always the swing games in a series.

After Game 3, I was riding high.  I figured that our chances at a title were close to 100%, and I was already planning on traveling into Boston for the parade.

Now? I can completely envision this team losing three games in a row. The complete lack of competitiveness scares me, and I see no answer to stopping the Mavericks inside without Porzingis.  I see Game 5 as a must win.

Overall confidence:  51%.

Couldn?t agree more. This is spot on to how I feel.
If there was a team to blow a 3-0 series lead it would be this core unfortunately and until they win it that reputation will stand.
I wish I could say I was 100% confident but I simply don?t have those feelings

It's weird how we're just missing shots this series. Wide open looks too. I guess you can say that DAL could do better and they certainly did including the role players in Game 4, but Boston also feels due for that game where they are lights out from 3. Maybe a game where Horford and White each hit like 5+ 3-pointers and we blow them out. We feel due for it but it hasn't happened yet. Every game this series we've started slow, at times down 10+ and outside of a few runs here or there we haven't shot it well.

Dallas played with better effort and made some adjustments but I'm sorry, it also looked like most of the Celtics players last night were also bricking all kinds of shots, including point-blank open layups. And throughout this series, even wide open 3s are sometimes way off.

Same. It's getting tiring seeing the same 'ol crap over and over. Until they achieve their fourth and final W this series, any mickey mouse crap like not showing up to games, lazy passes, lazy handles, terrible shot selections/ISO balls, getting outhustled, or sitting on your hands on the sideline doing nothing...that reputation will still stand.

Will still def watch Game 5, but not confident until the final buzzer sounds with a Celtics victory. Also going to stop hyping this team for the next two days until game time lol. Think the hype got into everyone's head including mine after Wed.

Excellent post. So much talent but they are beyond exhausting to watch. Last night was a step back. Let?s hope it was an aberration.

Florida Panthers up 3-0 with the cup in the building. Edmonton smoking them.

It?s really hard to win in a sweep in any sport?especially if the effort is ass.

The parallels between the NBA And hockey finals are uncanny. Look at my prediction. Too bad I?m not a betting man and too bad our series is one game ahead of theirs or we?d know the outcome.

If we blow this, this team won?t recover from it.  I?m nervous about it, bc like it?s been mentioned it just seems like if dropping 4 in a row with a 3-0 lead in the finals was going to happen to any squad, it would happen to this one.

I?m probably going to make an emotional hedge bet for game 5 on the Mavs, so if we lose I get a huge payout, then Flip that money on every game through game 7, so if we win at any point I?m ecstatic and I?m only out that original amount of money..  If we lose in 7 games, it?ll be brutal, probably worse than 2010,  but I?ll at least get a free vacation for my family out of it haha
