So at the game, a lot of people around us were saying that they think the C's purposely dropped Game 4 to win it at home. Like, how does a team look that bad for one night especially of this caliber. The wide open misses that suddenly they were making all of in Game 5. And also, Porzingis didn't play at all in Game 4 and didn't seem like he was coming in, but in Game 5 he's suddenly available right away and plays 16 minutes. Almost like they were like "nah we'll keep KP on the bench tonight in Game 4 and let Dallas take this". My parents felt the same about this conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Dallas seemed more than content to take one game, avoid a sweep and then get ready for the summer.

I think the pattern of winning a tightly contested game 3 to basically but not literally end a series then losing game 4 on the road after such an emotional win is a pattern you actually see a lot, maybe not with such a HUGE swing but it does happen. Usually when it does the better team rolls in game 5, classic gentlemen's sweep.

Yeah that's fair. But the effort level and hustle was just a complete 180 from Friday night. Especially the rebounding. I feel like the C's could have done the same Friday if they committed to it but it seemed they were content still being up 3-0.

Whatever though. Happy it's over with a championship  :)

Derrick Lively II thought they figured the Celtics out after Game 4.

Boy was he dead wrong. That did not age well.

Lively had absolutely no answer for Porzingis. Every possession KP was just drawing a foul on him. Same last night. Lively lucked out that KP was not playing Games 3 and 4, because when KP played, Lively could do nothing. Gafford was alright most of the series, nothing special though. Felt like he did most of his damage when the C's went small and Tatum played the 5.

One thing disappointed me - I don?t think either PP or KG were there in person. Also, outside of Ray I didn?t see any of the other Celtics greats there other than the usuals. Thought we would?ve really brought out everyone for that moment.

I think it was much better that way. This was about the current group having their own moment and not overshadowed by any former players

I saw PP apologize for not being there. He said he had a death in the family
