Mike breen crying the block should have been a foul omg

Especially after the 2 straight missed bad calls down the stretch, PJ with the "happy feet" travel down low not called then the beautiful defensive play by DWhite being called a foul right after

Funny you mentioned "happy feet" since it was the broadcast itself who pointed it out. So, not sure what the complain here is. Brown put the hand on the dude's back as he went up, Breen points it out. A non issue...

Why is Joe keeping a clearly hurting KP in the game?!?!

He wasn't.

Oh?

He had Big Al up waiting, when no dead ball moment happened he called a time out. Sure in hindsight we would've liked for him to call a time out right away, but in practicality not really an issue.

He had KP play at least an extra position both offensively and defensively when he was clearly hurt.  Why?

It isn't hindsight.  It's recognizing a problem in the moment.  We already saw the same thing play out in the first round, with Joe's slowness to react leading to increased severity of the calf injury.

I mean, the C?s can?t call a timeout when they don?t have the ball. I think he got him out pretty quick.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So about all that talk about being beat by the Mavs in the clutch and the C's not being able to win without hitting a ton of threes? We just won in the clutch AND beat them by only hitting 26% of our threes.

If they couldn't beat us tonight, I don't see how they win four of the next five.

Well, we really didn't win by being clutch, at least in the final minutes. We got lucky on a great defensive play, but our offense stagnated for the last 3 or so minutes. And after that defensive play, Dallas pretty much gave up the contest.

I mean, it was by definition clutch - within 5 in the last 5 minutes.

And I thought we generated decent looks from the perimeter, and just like all night long we didn't make them.

But don't shortchange our defense. We made it very difficult for them, which is why they couldn't come back.

Tell me thoughts about KP being hurt. I didn?t see it and I watch on mute.  I run a lot of delay and fast forward so I miss nuances - did he look badly hurt?

He was limping and grabbing his legs while in transition. And didn't even contest Kyrie or help on offense.

The national media was right. Kyrie didn't shoot 6-19 again.

Instead he shot 7-18.

celtics shoot 10 for 39 from three and get the win when Luka gets a 30 point triple double.

thank you mr. holiday and mr. white.

There was definite limping / a hitch in his running.

"I'm a changed man" no you aren't you moron. He's still been chirping with Celtics fans each game lol. Now wouldn't surprise me to see him "quiet quit" on the Mavs this round too. You know the Dallas media is also gonna torch him for his combined 13-35 shooting performances.

KP will be fine with some rest

He didn't look bad to me.  He had what looked like a pretty mild limp and was more jogging upt he floor rather than sprinting.  He seemed to be walking more or less ok - he just looked like he was pacing himiself and moving very carefully rather then pushing hard.  Definitley didn't look  as bad to me as the first injury in round 1, so I'm hoping it was just something like a leg cramp or something he can rest off over a day or two.

I like that no one is yapping on jBs turnovers. We know he played well and hit the clutch two down the stretch.

Jrue, DW, JB, and JT.  JT obviously didn?t shoot well but played well - great steal off Kyrie near the end. Drove the ball, went to the line, hit FTs, and passed the ball.

Jrue was the recipient of a lot of JT passes, and he finished great.
