White denying 8 shots (5 steals, 3 blocks) is crazy. That's just single-handedly denying 9.2 points, add in contested shots, and I feel like we have the main reason we win that game.

Seriously, some media person said White should be all-NBA, and I feel like if defense was prioritized more in the accounting for those spots, he goes in.

Only other person in NBA history with 5+ steals and 3+ blocks in a conference final game?

Jayson Tatum is the 5th player in NBA history (Jokic, Lebron, Duncan, Kidd) to lead their team in PTS, REB, & AST while reaching the Finals.

Legendary stuff. Now go get that Finals MVP.

why did tatum take a 3 at the end

u r up 3 go for 2 and drive stupid stupid shot sorry

Um, we won the game.

But also a jumper in that spot takes more time (it’s in the air longer than a layup) and if you miss the rebound is also likely to take more time before it’s recovered.  Further, it is easier to have the defense set to prevent a fast break.  A rebound off a missed layup can result in a quick outlet for an open 3.  It was absolutely the correct decision.

So, have I got this right ? The Celts now have to wait 10 days to start the finals ? That is ludicrous.

That is crazy. At least we get a break. We need Minny miracle now

I think Denver had it similar last year after they swept the Lakers

disagree, crap performance/shot choice is not forgiven because we won.

drive for 2 and get to line. woulda taken time to drive so ur argument is moot.

it was a bad contested shot WRONG SHOT

In a way Jaylen also redeemed himself. Bad ECF last season and a brutal Game 7 especially after JT got hurt. This year? A beast in the playoffs and now ECF MVP. Well deserved.

Pacers showed some guts but they have been a poor closing team all playoffs.

They don’t play defense either

I know we get caught up about guys like Nembhard and McConnell becoming Michael Jordan but they also can’t stop the other team from scoring in bunches either. Boston outclutched them in the end of games and Pacers couldn’t get any stops
