Celtics now have the most conference finals trip in the NBA in the 21st century. Yes, more than the dynasties of Heat, Warriors, Spurs and even Lakers

Celtics - 10 (2002, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024)
Spurs - 9 (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017)
Lakers - 9 (2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2020, 2023)
Heat - 9 (2005, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2020, 2022, 2023)
Cavs - 6 (2007, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)
Warriors - 6 (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022)

Celtics is also the most consistent franchise with playoff appearances only next to Mavs and Spurs, missing only 5 post seasons in 24 years.

Mavs - 5 (2000, 2017, 2013, 2018, 2019)
Spurs -5 (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)
Celtics -5 (2000, 2001, 2006, 2007, 2014)
Heat - 6 (2002, 2003, 2008, 2015, 2017, 2019)
Lakers - 8 (2005, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022)
Pacers - 8 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2021, 2022, 2023)
Nuggets - 9 (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)

They may have no cigar (yet) but its now official that Celtics is now the most consistent franchise within the past 2 decade.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'll take the Spurs 4 titles to the Celtics 1.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Now if we can just only shut those LAL fans up clamoring over their dominant 90s and 00s by Celtics being dominant in the 20s.

We want multiple titles!!

The titles aren't quite there  yet but this stretch post New Three era has been a very solid rebuild.  One last hurdle to go.

I don’t know how to think about this, all the other top teams either build a dynasty or won multiple championships, yet we only come away with one. I just heard on tv that of all teams that went in to conference finals 6 times in 8 years, this team is the only one that has no titles. So far we’ve been very consistent in being good, but not great, let’s change that this year.

Did Reggie Miller's Pacers have 5 in 7 years?

1994 Knicks
1995 Magic
1998 Bulls
1999 Knicks
2000 Finals vs Lakers

Yep, double checked. 5 in 7.

The Utah Jazz as well with 5 in 7.

1992 Blazers
1994 Rockets
1996 Sonics
1997 Finals vs Bulls
1998 Finals vs Bulls

That's a dumb comparison. How many of those teams won the championship in their 6th year? We could join that group, the season hasn't ended yet

May as well say that this is the first time ever that none of the 4 conference finals teams has won that year's championship. Like, sure it's technically true, but it's completely meaningless.
I'm bitter.

NBC dodged some bullets there in the 90s.  The ratings for a Pacers/Jazz Finals would've been abysmal.

If it wasn’t for KG’s injury we would have had 2-3 titles in that period.
