Per Washburn:

Dr. Daniel Kharrazi, an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai told @BostonGlobe he's seen an injury like Porzingis' once in 25 years.

What was it I was saying about the Celtics having the worst luck of any other team in the NBA since the '86 title ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Leave it to the Celtics to get a "rare injury." ::) Reminds me of Chris Sale and his litany of "fluke" injuries.

I still think Boston is a better team than Dallas is even without him.

Something like this could bring Boston closer and more focused

One of the J?s has to go big scoring.

Everyone has to level up

Win without him and the series is over

Isn't this possibility the reason we acquired Tillman ?

You?d think so

Per Washburn:

Dr. Daniel Kharrazi, an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai and former #Lakers consultant, told @BostonGlobe  he's seen a injury like Porzingis' once in 25 years. He was optimistic about Porzingis' ability to play:
"A lot of times the ankle and the tendon can be taped to allow play. There are even some braces that they can use that helps protect the tendon. I don?t think it?s something that he?s gonna make worse by just playing, especially if he?s just running up and down the court and even some lateral movements may be OK.

?This can be a repetitive issue if he has awkward landings or with his foot in certain positions that causes subluxation of the tendon. I don?t think it?s a season-ending injury. It is day-to-day and they have to reassess him. It?s something they?ll have to treat with either taping or bracing and then reassess to see if it?s stable enough for him to play.?

Seems positive and in line with what other doctors been saying.

Prescient, unfortunately.

The good news is that I still think we have good odds to win two more games even with an injured KP

Listen if it?s not going to do further damage?tape that sucker up and take whatever cocktail Luka gets before every game.

There?s legends status on the line.

I hope Tatum can wake up or we might be in some trouble. He needs to be the star he is supposed to be ?.not a brickster watching a one legged fat man out score him every game.

If Tatum is not injured, he has to prove his metal,  put on a game face get with the job at hand.

Yeah, I mean, this perfectly aligns with Boston's penchant for suffering significant injuries, often at the worst times. Torn ACL for Perk? Sure, how about Game 6 of the NBA Finals. A Tatum rolled ankle? Yes, let's have that in Game 7 of the ECF. An almost-unheard-of type of injury for Porzingis? Make it the NBA Finals, Alex!

He's officially listed as questionable, which is encouraging under the circumstances.

Wasn?t Jarrett Allen listed as ?questionable??

Ehhh so was Luka Doncic in Game 2 🥴

All videos of porzingis have him in high spirits and looking fine walking around?could this be a little mental warfare how serious it is because clearly Luka is playing up all his injuries?

Yup and to be honest this series/championship is so important id rather him gut it out then to play it safe for futures sake. He isn?t going to stay healthy either way.

Exactly. If it costs him the Olympics who cares.

His team has no chance at winning anything in the Olympics anyways.

I was expecting a G3 loss even before this KP news.
