Idk about you, but I just saw the injury close up and seems like it's on his right foot. Same leg as his calf strain that sidelined him for 38 days.

An eversion sprain isn?t great news. Depends on severity but if anything worse than grade 1 he?s probably done. If grade 1 maybe he takes Wednesday off and plays Friday if needed - or they just target game 5.  That or he just plays with it.

That looked almost like Gordon Hayward-esque. But he was able to stay in game for two possessions and head back to the bench. They're just down playing this, including KP. He'll probably be very limited in Game 3 or not play at all.

Either way, C's need to do what they can and close it out in Dallas. Gafford is gonna feast inside if KP isn't in.

Me too. Or else try to play but be severely limited/ineffective.

Has any franchise been the victim of worse misfortune than the Boston Celtics, post the 1986 Title ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Well, it depends on how you define it of course.

In terms of squandered potential, probably not (most teams don't have talented draft picks die), but in terms of success, you have  the Clippers, Grizzlies, Hornets, Jazz, Magic, Nets, Pacers, Pelicans, Suns and Timberwolves who are still waiting to win it all. The 76ers spent years in the gutter after blowing up a second-round team to get back to the second round. The Knicks have mostly been rubbish since their win in the 70s, and so on.

I don?t think it was anything serious. He walked to the bench staff checked on him and he sat there rest of the game. They even let him do the after game interview.

I think he will play Wednesday.

The reason KP was available in a trade is because he gets hurt a lot. He?s been unbelievable when healthy. No way he would have been available if he averaged 70 games per year. We have gotten surplus value out of the big man. The rest of the team can get it done now.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

That sure does not look good with that picture. Now, I am not an athlete but maybe one time out of 5 for me that same kind of twist happened to me under strong exertion and had no ill effect. The 4 times it left me with a limp for awhile after. It really depends, as super athletes, they are definitely a lot more flexible and stronger than me though so I would think the odds could be better.

Obviously, they have much better treatment as well compared to me popping advil and elevating and icing. \

Fingers are crossed though.

It was his opposite leg they were working on the bench.

Per ESPN he seemed fine in the locker room too. So hopefully nothing too serious.

Another 2 days off will be good

I think you overestimate Gafford.

KP and Joe both said he was fine and no concerns.

Sparz...enjoy the ride! Pretty soon we are going to have no Celtics basketball until October.

Maybe half the league? This is the team's 4th trip to the finals in 16 years. Many fans across the country would be envious of this.
