At a medical conference in Atlanta, but we watched the final quarter of the game from the hotel. We definitely have an awesome closing lineup in theory when healthy. Sucks that Porzingis fouled out, especially from some BS flops from the Heat.

I will add though, hearing Doris Burke just spew her obvious Celtics hate and then acting like it was an "obvious no-call" on the White foul was nauseating. And even the refs were like "unsuccessful challenge" like duh  it's gonna be brutal hearing her call Celtics games she's still mad they beat her Sixers last Spring

Anyways, good start. 2-0. Hasn't been pretty but that was expected, the fact that they are still managing to win these games so far is very encouraging. Can only get even better

It's crazy to remember how down some people were about Derrick White after his first half year here. It's funny to even think about now that he's become such a amazing role player for us.
It’s amazing people think the Cs gave up too much in that deal. White is my favorite Celtic. Love the way he plays. I just assume he’s gonna do the right thing every time he has the ball.

I feel the same way. I’m have so much trust in his decision making . I think we can let these two point guard skilled guards run the show a little bit more, but loving the Celts so far.

I’ll bet no one thinks that anymore.

Does anybody have a link to the White block on Jimmy?

Need that to send to a Heat friend. Lol

Didn't White block two Butler dunk attempts?

Here are all the 5 man lineups we used, ranked by +/-.  I marked the top lineups in terms of minutes. This is only for this game so take it with a grain of salt.

The one below is for our 2 games so far so a slightly bigger sample size. All lineups with less than 1 min of PT were excluded.

One thing was certain, the referees did their best to keep Miami in the game. There were also multiple flops the refs should have called against the Miami players too.

100% True.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I would have loved watching Stevens play some defense against these Flopping cHeat crybabies.

Not sure what you were listening to.  Doris was extremely complimentary of the Celtics.  She was correct on the White foul.  The ref ought to have made the call immediately when it occurred not waited until White lost the ball into the back court to make the call.

Solid win but they desperately need to build some chemistry.  Heat shot stupid from 3 and boston was an unforced  to machine. Idk why these 2 things are a constant when we play this garbage franchise, but Joe better figure it by the playoffs.

Back to wanting Joe fired.

The White-Holliday backcourt is the best in the league, a defensive nightmare for opposing teams. Our bench two games in has done nothing though.

Porzingis had an atrocious game defensively. If he's going to guard Bam he needs to drop back more. We should be encouraging Bam to take more jumpers, not less.

Scal was - correctly - advocating for the C's to put a smaller guy on Bam. Get a quicker guy underneath him and keep him away from the rim.

That also frees up our best shotblocker to help as needed. Just terrible strategy.

Also not pleased with our offensive decision-making. Our guys continue to dive into double teams, throwing themselves into disadvantageous positions in the paint with no escape plan. We need to be smarter. I don't know why we do this against Miami.

If I can see an ill-advised play developing from my couch,  an NBA player should be able to recognize that too.

Glad we got the win despite all the unforced errors. But we need to be better.

Jrue with a double double
17 and 10

He’s so good with the inside jumper

7 assists too. almost had a triple double.

all our starters scored over 17pts last night. And crazy thing is I think you can tell they still are learning how to play together and where everyone fits.

same here, but then again when I look at the lineups and theres always 2 starters out there they are going to get the most shots. outside of Horford everyone else took only like 2 shots. if he shot better than 0-6 bench scoring might have looked abit better

id be curious to see how Pritchard/Hauser/Brssett do if one of our guys rests or is off and they have to take more shots.

I also think celtics want to play the starters alot together the first 20 or so games because this is a brand new team. you can tell they are still building chemistry.
