One thing that is concerning after two games is the 3 point defense.

The starters were great but the bench was awful.  Literally had 8 points. Just need to get more out of these guys.

I completely disagree on the bench. Al had 10 rebounds. Brisset outworked guys down low and had 5 rebounds. He also helped energize the team and criwd. Joe is also mixing the starters and bench players on the floor so there is always st least two All star caliber scorers. Sometimes it's not how many points the bench contributes but the quality of the minutes they provide.

It’s not hockey subs where thr 2nd unit is all bench guys…they just need to be great in their roles and support the all star level guys that they will be playing with. We’re not going to have first five, second five, it’s going to be combo 1, combo 2, combo 3 and our top 6 will be in all those combos, and thr bench guys will be there to support them, so we don’t need them to be superstars of the box score, we need them to be superstars in their roles. Like Brissett added a lot of energy and hustle, he chased loose balls, rebounded, boxed out, helped the guys he was playing with to shine. That’s what we need from our bench guys.

To be fair, half the time it was Herro killing us even though the defense was good and the other half was them getting open with illegal screens

Still need to get scoring production out of them. Can’t rely on your starters to get 110 ppg. Also, starters played pretty big minutes in the first two games.

One thing was certain, the referees did their best to keep Miami in the game. There were also multiple flops the refs should have called against the Miami players too.

Just realized that Kornet didn’t play at all.  :)

He should play often

It's crazy to remember how down some people were about Derrick White after his first half year here. It's funny to even think about now that he's become such a amazing role player for us.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I agree. I was glad to see at least Al gave us 10 boards and I’m in full support if seeing what Brissette can do. As long as we get a win it’s fun seeing which players outside of the top 7 earn minutes.
