I thought Paul George and Mike Conley said all the right things.  You could see Mazulla rage about  the figured out the Celtics comment by George.  You saw Joe look like he was ready to go Quentin Tarantino style level of violence of Paul for a second.

One think about Devin Carter is he can provide a lot of rim pressure.   Dude has a 42 inch vertical.  I watched a lot of tape and he seems to play D and hustle.    I think his shot could be fixed by adjusting his base of his feet, which looked awkward a lot.  I think this could make preseason interesting.

I hope fans give George a fair shot.   He did not make the trade, nor did he have control of what was sent back.  I blame Bill Chisholm, because Brad had a great trade record before.   Our moves came more about finance once Bill bought the team.   This move was about the finance of the Celtics and less about a basketball decision.

I have to admit, when I saw Devin Carter's highlights from last year, his tenacity on defense, his athleticism at the rim, and his clunky outside shot, I immediately thought:

"This is basically an older version of Hugo."

I don't think people are giving the Robinson signing enough credit because it got clouded by the JB trade.

This is a double-whammy for us.  It makes the Celts immensely better in the post, which was a bit of a weakness.

And it weakens our toughest opponent (we'll have to see if the Sixers gel or not) in the Knicks. 

It's a little like when the Bucks gave up Jrue and we got him.

His entire shooting form is clunky and awkward, IMO. It amazes me that a guard can get to the NBA with a shot like that. Hopefully they are able to fix it. Same with Dillon Mitchell.

I think NBA franchises feel it's easier to correct someones shooting form than fix their foot speed and wingspan.

I agree, shooting is a skill that can be improved and coached up.

Yes, it?s interesting that someone with such athleticism and defensive tenacity got traded and waived after one season. I know he?s 24 but he should still have some runway to improve his shot. Unless there were 29 other teams who know something we don?t

In an interview with Dan Patrick, JT has again refuted the persistent narrative that he and JB don't like each other. At least from his side, he says it's not true.

This will probably convince nobody either way - those who think they hate each other, nothing will change their view...and those who think they love each other, they already think that so this is just another unnecessary data point.

Though I must confess I belong to a third category - those with a care factor of zero. You don't have to love the people you work with, or even like them, as long as you have a professional working relationship (since this is a job like all of us have) that's ultimately what matters to me. And I don't see any evidence whatsoever that suggests they didn't have that. They sacrificed for each other, they won a championship. Sure it could have been more but I think the working relationship was fine
