A look at where things stand at moment.

I cannot see Hauser starting for Boston this upcoming season.

I don't view him as a starting-level player. He improved somewhat last season as a defender and even a bit at creating non-3pt opportunities for himself, but he's still basically a specialist to be brought in against the other team's bench players or when the team needs a jolt of offense.

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Speaking on SportsCenter, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Wednesday?s trade was not due to Brown asking for a fresh start elsewhere.

For the Celtics, where this had come down to is they tried to trade for Giannis [Antetokounmpo]. They offered Jaylen Brown and two unprotected first-round picks for Giannis. They missed out, Charania said. But ever since then, you know what?s been interesting? They didn?t just stop the conversations there.

They continued to have trade talks, and by today they were actively shopping, full-blown shopping Jaylen Brown around the league, trying to get teams? best offers in. My understanding is [that] Jaylen Brown, throughout all this, never requested a trade. He never asked out of Boston. This was all the Celtics.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

[Windhorst] Even though Jaylen Brown was talking about himself for MVP, the Celtics did not feel like Jaylen had the best season on their team. They felt that Derrick White had a better season.

Huh??? D-White had a down year and struggled for stretches, especially when Tatum was out, and then proceeded to have an AWFUL Sixers series.

Yeah this front office has gone bananas. Stevens might just be the new Nico Harrison now.

Or it could very well be Bill Chisolm and ownership. Either way, it's a mess

I mean, the Celtics were 9.7 points per 100 better when D White played and 4.6 points worse than their season average when JB played.  Both were starters and played tons of minutes, so you can make a credible argument that White had a better year in terms of positively impacting the game.  Is it correct?  Debatable.  Defensible?  Yes.  White was 1st team All-Defense, it is not like he did not have a really good season, despite the shooting woes.

Did they both stink in the playoffs? Yes.

I find it hard to put a value on D White when his shooting is so bad. I see the case when he is shooting the ball.

I see the case for him still being a positive contributor when he is shooting the ball badly. But a large positive? I don't know about that.

So it's about the analytics huh. Brad is an analytics guy.

To hell with analytics. Throw it in the trash. It's about what's on the floor and feeling the momentum. I didn't see it from White.
