That IT era was special. I knew we were never going to win with him as the #1 guy, but man did I love the way he and that team battled every night.

Hindsight 20/20, IT4 was def more beloved here than Kyrie Irving. It's too bad we needed to trade him for Kyrie, an offer we couldn't refuse. But imagine if we kept Isaiah Thomas with this lineup:

IT4/Brown/Hayward/Tatum/Horford

Unfortunately it would never have happened.

Thomas was finished as an elite player due to degenerative injuries.
