How about trading Niang and two future seconds for Nick Richards? Also saves 3M in payroll

Why are we giving up the best player in the trade and sending picks?

I don't know if Niantic is the best player in any deal.

And Nick Richards is?

At least JB doesn't have beef with Richards. 🤷🏻‍♂️

For those hoping that Tatum will be back at the end of the season, I think Stevens recent quote dashes that hope.

Quote
?We don?t and we won?t,? Stevens said Wednesday night. ?We won?t put a projected timeline on him for a long, long time. ? It?s baby steps right now. He?s actually progressed great, but I don?t know what that means in regard to projected timelines. But that will be in consultation with him ? and everybody else to make sure when he hits the court he is fully ready, and fully healthy. And that will be the priority.?

I don?t think Tatum should come back now that the roster has been gutted. That quote is meaningless, Though.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Another center target, sources say, that rival executives expect San Antonio to pursue: Boston's Luke Kornet.

According to a league source the Celtics are picking up JD Davison?s option for next season but it will be non-guaranteed, preserving some flexibility for both sides.

If Davison has to play real minutes, we are sunk. He is nothing more than a G Leaguer. Would love to see them cut ties with him once and for all.

Really not sure what they're trying to accomplish at this point.

Agree. Bringing him back kind of seems like a waste of a roster spot. And if he is in the plans to play then help us all. I am a little discouraged with this whole thing.

The championship window feels closed. This next year seems like a total waste. The roster for 2025-26 might be really bad esp if they can't resign Al and Luke.

I hope 2026 is different and this time next year we are excited about what is to come.

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

I think they are looking to make further cost savings trades to get below the tax line and hopefully far enough below that they can resign Horford and/or Kornet.

Might need to do that pretty soon as FA starts next week.

Hope you're right. That would mean they need to make a deal in the next couple days before Kornet and/or Horford sign elsewhere, no?

They can talk to their own FAs so lets hope that is being done. But come 7/1, Luke and Al can talk to anyone.

Same. And think Luke gets a high offer from someone the Cs just don't match.

I'm told Al Horford continues to mull potential options for next season and at the moment appears unlikely to have a final decision on the first day of free agency tomorrow.
