No need to pick that option up.

It's worth noting that although Bobby Manning makes this sound like a financial decision, its really not. Even if they decline Davidson's option they still need to fill that roster spot, and any vet player with 2+ years of experience will cost as much or more than Davidson's option year.

They may decline it if they think they can do better than Davidson in that spot, but it's not for financial reasons.

He's just not an NBA player.  Cut him, and then offer something completely non-guaranteed if he's the best we can do.

For those hoping that Tatum will be back at the end of the season, I think Stevens recent quote dashes that hope. 

?We don?t and we won?t,? Stevens said Wednesday night. ?We won?t put a projected timeline on him for a long, long time. ? It?s baby steps right now. He?s actually progressed great, but I don?t know what that means in regard to projected timelines. But that will be in consultation with him ? and everybody else to make sure when he hits the court he is fully ready, and fully healthy. And that will be the priority.?

I'm hoping its not White getting traded......it could be people telling him to pull back on how hard he's pushing it, to even they told him he's not coming back this season even if cleared just to be in the safe side.

I'm hoping its not White getting traded......it could be people telling him to pull back on how hard he's pushing it, to even they told him he's not coming back this season even if cleared just to be in the safe side.

Most likely just him feeling down about the injury. I think it would be management malpractice of the highest order to tell a guy that he?s definitively out all next year and therefore run the risk of him losing incentive to rehab with focus and commitment.
