Just noticed they play Dec 7th and not again until the 19th.

I dont ever recall seeing a 12 day layoff before.

I think that?s in-season tournament week. They?ll have two to three games in that span, just like last year.

Yeah.   There is a TBD home game locked in for December 10th.

Another depth big could be a target at the deadline, but is it possible? Could we trade Springer + a pick and get back a player, or sign a buyout guy, or is it impossible and we just have to rely on Queta/Tillman?

Springer and how many ever picks we want can be traded.  Signing buy outs now have limitations on how much they were making before being bought out, I forget the exact figure, I think the MLE, but there is a limit on who we could sign.

Like could we trade Springer and some picks to acquire someone like Walker Kessler? Springer is actually making more than him and Kessler only makes about 3M next season too.

Something like that or similar?

Yes.  Whoever we traded for would have to make equal or less than Springer.

The Boston Celtics marked a historic moment by stepping into the White House to celebrate their 18th NBA championship with President Joe Biden.

The occasion carried special significance, as Biden noted, highlighting how the Celtics were pioneers in this presidential tradition when John F. Kennedy first hosted the team in 1963.

The magnitude of the moment wasn?t lost on star player Jayson Tatum, whose radiant smile spoke volumes.

?White House was, it was cool. Lot of us was, our first time here. Getting to meet President Biden and have the ceremony is, you know, something that you always watch as a kid and now to be a part of that tradition is something we?ll always remember,? Tatum said, via the NBA on X.

There was a game last week (maybe Toronto) where I was thinking Joe might go to Springer.  They just needed a dogged defender out there.  A time when Brissett would have given them a spark last year.
Yup

Kessler may be gettable, but I suspect it will take more than Springer, they would probably talk if it was Hauser in the discussion for example.  Our picks just are not that much value to a team like Utah, I don't think.  Right now, Utah starts 2 PFs (Collins and Markkanen) and a C (Kessler).  What they need is a SF/Wing type.  Collins is having a solid season and last season was not bad either.  He is the guy they need to figure out how to move.  Hard to pull that off though.

Are the Celtics ready for next week starting on Dec 1? 5 games in 7 nights. At least it's four straight home games after the visit in Cleveland on Sunday.

Porzingis is currently healthy, and the C's will continue to manage Horford I'm sure

But I still think this team might need to consider adding a cheap big man at the trade deadline. I thought Tillman could easily fill that role of "3rd playoff big" but he hasn't looked that good early this season and hasn't played much either. Kornet to me is strictly a regular season depth big. Valuable in that role but probably not reliable beyond the 1st round of the playoffs.

Queta is showing glimpses and good growth, but idk if he can realistically be a playoff contributor until 2025.

A few trade options could be Walker Kessler or Day'Ron Sharpe. Making very cheap salaries where you could probably get it done for Springer + pick(s)
