Read a couple of stories that Baylor is going to be bought out and waived!
No you did not.

Can we take Tps away?  What an idiotic troll comment.

Read a couple of stories that Baylor is going to be bought out and waived!  Too bad, Baylor and Walsh, back to back draft busts.

Source? I highly doubt this.

I have not seen this either and also have doubts.  Scheierman is fully guaranteed at about $2.6M.  Davison has $0 guaranteed (fully guaranteed in January) and Walsh only has $200,000 guaranteed, fully guaranteed on opening night.  I would think Davison is the first to go if they waive anyone, and then Walsh. I think Walsh is better than Scheierman but not enough better to warrant eating $2.6M in Scheierman salary in order to keep him.

They are about $331K over the 2nd apron right now per Sportrac (and this looks accurate).  They don't necessarily need to resolve that at the start of the season.  But being over could limit them in some trades, for example if they wanted to combine salaries or take back just a few dollars more than they send out.  A couple of million dollars of buffer would add some flexibility.  My guess is they don't waive anyone now unless they have to for a specific deal and they need to get under the second apron.
This. I admit I have soured on Walsh during this SL, in spite of good numbers. The two techs were a big issue for me. He s a 3rd year player and should not be making mental mistakes like that. I also feel like he has been trying too hard to score and show he is the best player on the SL roster. Yes, he is just 21 and Baylor is 25, but Baylor seems to have a smarter head. His football quarterback experience comes through.

The Toronto Raptors were reportedly willing to part with RJ Barrett and the No. 9 pick in an aggressive pursuit of Jrue Holiday.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, who spoke with CLNS Media Boston Sports Network, Toronto is believed to have offered a package involving Barrett and the ninth overall pick to the Boston Celtics in an effort to acquire the veteran guard.

The deal reportedly focused on shedding Barrett & his $57.3 million contract over the next two years. Boston ultimately declined and chose to trade Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons, whose $27.7 million salary will expire at the end of the season.

I think this is getting mis reported. It's not clear from the interview that the #9 pick was in play for Jrue. i think that was being offered for Derick White and its now being conflated as being offered for either White or Holiday.

Honest questions:
1. When it comes to actual stated/official trade offers, how many people outside a GM, Assistant GM, and owner actually know the details?

2. What is the motivation for anyone involved in an official (real) trade offer that was not completed to share the details of that offer with anyone after the fact?

This was exactly my thought as well.
