Michael Porter Jr.

What’s happening with him? He’s been wearing a jersey and that’s about all. He’s had two 20 point games and four less than 10. Against The Lakers he averaged almost 24.

Aaron Gordon has stepped up his scoring a couple of times and Denver has won, but that’s not his game and he can’t be counted on for another 20+ game in game 7. If Murray is hurt it should be MPJ, but he’s all but disappeared the past 3 games.

When Denver becomes one dimensional and Joker is all you need to account for, then they can be beaten.

They had Jaden McDaniels take him out of the game last two games. Reminds me of Peja Stojakovic when Phil Jackson would put Rick Fox on him or Popovich with Bruce Bowen. They would take Peja right out of the series. Just stick to him like glue. Peja doesn't create his own offense. Be in his jersey. He won't score. And it worked because of Peja's limited shot-creation. I see a similar thing happening with MPJ.

You almost wonder if Minny would have been better off with a smaller win than a huge blowout over DEN. Hurt pride and pride of a Champion and all that.

DEN got walloped in games one and two. They came back with a vengeance in Gm 3. They heard nothing but massive criticism for 2-3 days. I fear this blowout Minny win could lead to a similar reaction from the Nuggets.

If you need that to get up for a Game 7, then you're in the wrong place.

RealGM forums had a poll for best guard in the playoffs. About 200 votes. 60% went for Brunson. The other 40% was split evenly between SGA and Anthony Edwards.

Interesting question and answer.

Edwards look pretty impressive but Brunson has put the Knicks on his back
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I don't think Murray is 100% (at least he doesn't look it to me).  That really hurts DEN.  They need Murray.  The "let the rest of them beat you" strategy is very different when Murray is playing well vs. not.  He is the one guy from "the rest of them" that can beat you.  If not him, the rest of the rest isn't going to beat you.

Apparently, Jamal Murray rejected medical advice to sit out in Gm 5 vs LA Lakers and has been playing through that calf strain ever since.

He injured his elbow in the last game as well. Said it hurt his shooting.

Last time the Nuggets were in a Gm 7 was during the Bubble. They had two game 7s that year after coming back from 3-1 down in both series to win both. Made the WCF against LAL. They beat Utah and the Clippers in those series.

They also had two Gm 7s the year before. Splitting them. Won against DeRozan's Spurs but lost against Lillard's Blazers that year Portland made the WCF.

The Bubble was 4 years ago. A long time ago. Jokic, J Murray and MPJ were all on that team though. I think everyone else has changed since then. But they have some strong Gm 7 experience.

I did not notice during the game but Jokic was standing the whole Q4 watching seething in anger at what was happening.

I am scared of Jokic on a good day. Nevermind a furious Joker. Good luck Minnesota in Gm 7!

I think anyone watching the NBA over the last couple of seasons has to expect Denver to put Minny away in G7.  But Wolves are impressive, Ant is a killer, Gobert is tough, and KAT is big and skilled.  Conley is glue. Will be a very tough team to beat in a Finals matchup. Actually, any of the four remaining would be tough.

I’d like to avoid Denver but also want to avoid that wolf howling sound effect in Minnesota. Absolutely agonizing.

I'd love to see Indy force a Gm 7.

Indy vs NY. Game 7. Oh memories of Reggie vs Ewing.
