Siakam with 25pts. Three guys with 15 each. Haliburton, M Turner, McConnell. Then Nembhard with 12pts. 82pts for those 5 guys.

Knicks only had three scorers tonight. Brunson with 21pts McBride 20pts and DiVincenzo 17pts. Achiuwa had 9. Nobody else had more than 5pts.

So reports of

(1) Spurs and Keldon Johnson have agreed to part ways. SAS will trade him over the summer. He wants to be a starter somewhere.

(2) Toronto will trade Bruce Brown. He has a team option on next year's salary of $23mil. That option can be picked up or declined after the draft but prior to opening of free agency. So likely a team will trade for him to clear salary. Probably give up a pick to do it.

Edit: Mmm, some saying Keldon Johnson one may be fake. Not sure. May need to wait on that one.

Josh hart injury looms large

I missed it. What is the Hart injury?

Something abdominal.  Relatedly, I hope you’re feeling better after your appendix.

Thank you.  Surgery was Wednesday - still recovering but a lot better. Thanks!!

Hey Neurotic Guy - Sorry to hear about the appendix.  Hope it wasn't too bad.   Take it easy while you recover!

Thank you Blink!

Adam Silver knew he wasn't making enough money in the opening rounds, so he needed a few more Game 7s in the Semi Finals. Unfortunately for him, the Celtics closed it out a few days ago. He's still got a chance for one more series to go Game 7 tomorrow (or today)!

To clarify on Bruce Brown, he cannot be traded unless the option is picked up first.  So a team can’t trade for him and then decline the option to take on no effective salary.

Isn't this what Thibs does though? sure some of these injuries are just unlucky.

but he did this in Chicago too...just playing guys into the ground to the point they started getting injured. His teams are scrappy, play hard and are fun to watch. but he plays his guys like 48 minutes they are bound to break down.

I still want NYC. just so the celtics can stomp them in MSG with spike lee courtside

Whoever comes out of this series is gonna get zero rest, just like the winner of CLE-ORL who had to immediately face Boston two days later in an "every other day" schedule and honestly, it might have affected CLE after Game 3. Wear-and-tear.

And btw, I sort of feel the same way about the West. DEN-MIN going 7. Maybe DAL wins tonight but if not, that's going 7. But DAL did go 6 games last round too. Nothing easy out there either.

Game 1 is gonna be the one to steal for NYK/IND. Combo of possible rust factor for Celtics and adrenaline boost for NYK/IND coming off Game 7.

Just hope Celtics get over this Game 2 glitch thing they got going.

NYK or IND. ECF really shouldn’t go more than 5 maybe 6 games, though

For those who say the Celtics path is easy, I like to point out that seeding matters. The Celtics earned the #1 seed while other teams like Miami, the Lakers, and even the Bucks rested, coasted, or just flat out were inconsistent during the regular season while they believed that seeding was not important and they would turn it on in the playoffs.

Second of all, depth matters. The Sixers, Knicks, Bucks and others had key guys missing significant time in the regular season and playoffs, and that was devastating for them. The Celtics roster can afford to have one of the key guys out and still compete with anybody.

Are we fortunate so far, yes of course, but this has also been due to Stevens and Mazzulla and the players not taking things for granted,  building the right roster and taking the regular season seriously.

Yeah if the C's have to go 7 games in the ECF, something went really wrong
