Just sensational stuff from Lillard. He’s gonna put up 50+ tonight

Wow I didn't realize until the TNT crew said it, but yeah so far all the home teams have won Game 1. This one is trending that way too and OKC will probably win tonight.

A road team has to win next game

Indiana's three point attack doesn't look the same as earlier in the year when they had Buddy Hield (traded) & Ben Mathurin (injured).

McConnell a reluctant outside shooter. Siakam & Nembhard low volume outside shooters. Haliburton and Nesmith are their main perimeter shooters. Myles Turner. Sheppard a legit shooter but he has struggled as a rookie.

Not that much shooting there anymore. Post All-Star break Indiana made 12.3 threes per game on 36% shooting. That would rank around 20th in the league in makes 20th in percentage on the season. So 20th best three point shooting team. Not good for a team whose attack was based around pace and space.

If all the home teams are 2-0 then that'd be pretty remarkable. Probably very rare too.

This year’s MVP and Rookie of the Year will be international players. Again. 6 in a row for MVP, and 5 out of the last 10 for RoY.

The 2024 draft class is missing generational talents, but there are plenty of international players expected to go in the 1st round with several in the lottery.

The days of Joker going in the 2nd round are over.

Indy is only interesting on the nights when their offense is humming and Haliburton is actually good at basketball and they're a threat to put up 130 on anybody.  On nights when those things aren't true, their defense cannot keep them in games.  Completely one-dimensional.

12 point game at the end of the 3rd. The Pacers are still in this.

Hali looks to be a shell of his early season self. Wonder how much of this is injury vs regression to the mean. Probably a bit of both.

Haliburton came back too soon from the injury, then when he did come back spent about a month playing just enough to log games towards the 65 awards minimum. And he just hasn't looked the same.

He should have just sat out longer. Hamstrings are not something you mess with. Now he might still miss out on all-nba becasue he didn't play well, and him not being right might cost his team a winnable playoff series.

Luka had 33pts and 6ast. Kyrie had 30pts and 4ast. So that is 63pts of the Mavs 97pts. If you include their 10 assists, that was another 22pts (included 2 threes).

That would mean they were directly involved in 85 of the Mavs 97pts. That is crazy.

I knew that Q2 was brutal for the Mavs but I did not realize they only managed 8pts in the quarter. They had 22 at the end of one. 30 at the half. Only 8pts in Q2.
