Donovan Mitchell with 16pts already midway through Q2.

The problem for the Sixers will be when they go to their bench. They need more out of their bench bigs including Paul Reed. Mitchell Robinson abused them in game 1 when Embiid rested.

I don't like J Isaac starting at center for Orlando. They need a rim runner there who will give them some easy hoops. J Isaac can space the floor a bit but that is bringing them no benefits thus far. They would be better off with a rim roller / dunker.

Assuming we advance, I will say while I still love our chances against CLE/ORL, there's no doubt Cleveland could pose some more challenges since they have the size to disrupt us and Donovan Mitchell is a baller.

Embiid has been killing M Robinson in transition with that euro step. Any slight movement and M Robinson twists his body in all types of ways trying to keep with Embiid, then Embiid initiates the slightest bit of contact and draws the foul.

M Robinson needs to stay still. And he needs his teammates to collapse down and form a wall for him like folks do against Giannis. That has been an automatic foul on M Robinson otherwise. Not Hartenstein. But for M Robinson.

Why is Brunson inbounding the ball on those possessions? At 10 secs remaining and then again at 3.3 secs remaining? Especially the 3.3 seconds. How is he going to get the ball back? You are just taking him out of the play.

I have barely noticed Anunoby in these two games. Much less decisive defensively with no key wing player or forward for him to shut down.

Sixers stars are C and PG. Not his spot(s).

Probably not a good sign that Maxey + Embiid have 28 points combined, Brunson is shooting 2-9, and the Knicks are only down 7

Miles McBride was huge with 21pts in Game 1. NY will need another big game from someone like him if Brunson continues to struggle.

McBride a prime candidate because of his ball-handling. He is being forced into a much larger offensive role with Brunson struggling to create on offensively against the bigger K Oubre.

I'll be concerned if the Celtics don't come out like they're the #1 seed against the Heat.

The other big difference from Game 1 is Philly is protecting their defensive backboards. They gave up 23 off rebounds in Gm 1. 7 to M Robinson, 5 to J Hart, 5 to Hartenstein, 4 to Brunson.

They have only conceded 2 tonight. 16 defensive boards so a def reb rate of 89% compared to only ~50% in Game 1.

Embiid has 10 boards already. 5 off boards and 5 def boards.
