Houston have nothing when they go to their bench. Jeff Green is their only semi-reliable bench player. Then there is Aaron Holiday who is poor. And the total wildcards of Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore who usually struggle to perform. Tate is starting today for D Brooks so their bench is even weaker.

Minny have a clear advantage with Naz Reid, Kyle Anderson, and N Walker-Alexander. Two high end bench players in Naz and Slow-Mo and one serviceable onee in NWA.

Houston on the other hand have only one serviceable bench player in Jeff Green and 4-5 well below average bench guys aka liabilities.

New York a bit invigorated after the OG trade. Whooping up on Philly in Philly tonight.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

In the game yesterday, they said Jaime Jacquez of the Miami Heat ... he is leading all players in the league in fourth quarter minutes played. As a rookie.

That is sensational for a rookie on a veteran playoff team.

That guy Peyton Watson on the Nuggets bench is one hell of an athlete. He has stood out the last few times I have watched them play. He is making himself a key component of their bench.

Three dependable bench guys now. Christian Braun, Peyton Watson and a now integrated Reggie Jackson. I am not so sure about their other bench guys. Nnaji is still a question mark in my eyes. I haven't liked him in the past.

Bane is ridiculous. He shoots 3s like normal players shoot FTs.

A Reaves is so smart. I love his passing.

He does so much to facilitate the Lakers offense.

Suggs is the best defensive guard in the NBA.

I hate the way LeBron just runs right over people. Smart has position there. Just rammed through him. No offensive foul. EVER.

Good overall night for us in terms of the other major contenders in the league with records near ours. Philly, OKC, Denver all losing with only Minny winning. A Lakers loss would cap off a great night.

I like the twin shot-blocking of Jaren Jackson Jr and Biyombo. Fun defensive combo.

Morant hasn't been great. I feel like JJJ, Bane and Smart have all out-played him.

Morant has been okay. Just not great.

He doesn't feel as freaky explosive as normal. Trying to play with his head more. Rather than his legs. That reckless abandon form of dribble drive attacks haven't been there.

Lakers are a team that could benefit from searching the G-League or someone out of contract for a proper PG. They need another ball-handler / passer.

Memphis Grizzlies

C: Biyombo, Tillman
C: JJJ, Aldama
G: Smart, Z Williams
G: Bane, Kennard
G: Morant, (Smart)

Others: D Rose, J Konchar, D Roddy, J LaRavia

Grizzlies have a strange roster.

Not a fan of the three guard starting group. Too small. JJJ and Aldama are both 7 footers at PF. They basically play a two center lineup alongside three guard combinations on the perimeter with Kennard being their best bench player on the perimeter.

Z Williams is their only legit forward in their rotation. He is a tall skinny SF with a low skill level. He is a nice hustle guy but just isn't skilled enough to play long minutes. I am not sure their starting unit can carry him either given the limitations of Biyombo / Tillman at center on offense.

Interesting watching Kennard and seeing someone similar to Hauser only smaller with far worse defense. Helps show Hauser's value relative to other bench shooters around the league.

I'd like to see them try and trade Kennard (and picks) for a legit SF and move Smart to the bench as the main backup combo guard.

D Sabonis has triple doubles in 6 of his last 10 games.
