Anyone thought pelicans would beat LA? I said 30 pt win before game started but surprise Indy beat bucks…lakers will beat Indy by 16

I think Indiana will win for no particular reason other than I would much prefer it.

NBA won't let that happen. They don't want a tiny market team like Indy win a championship. They want to add another accolade to Lebron's resume- the Mickey Mouse Las Vegas championship. And Lakers fans can gloat they're better than the Celtics in terms of banner counts as they'd have 18 with this December championship  ;D

They already do have 18 banners, if you count the NBL Championship they won in 1948. "The 1947–48 Minneapolis Lakers season was the inaugural season for the Lakers. The Lakers won the National Basketball League championship against the Rochester Royals." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1947%E2%80%9348_Minneapolis_Lakers_season

And here I thought Los Angeles was already stretching as far as humanly possible to claim 17 banners
I'm bitter.

Haliburton is playing like a boss.  I'm really fascinated to see how the season goes for them.  Is he and the Pacers truly ready or are they going to pull a Cavs and lose in the 1st round to the Knicks?  Most guys need time and experience to really set the world on fire in the playoffs.  Be interesting to see how that plays out.
Tyrese is an awesome basketball player. He is the rare lead guard that doesn't just pound the rock for assists. He keeps the ball moving. He makes the proper read within seconds, but has the elite touch to thread the needle on almost every pass. Plus his shot is lightning quick. I think he is a great player. When he is on the court, Indy is definitely one of the top 5 teams in the East. It may take time, and they may have to consolidate some of their younger players into a proper running mate, but the future should be bright in Indy.

I don't think so. Boston, Philly, Milwaukee, Miami, Cleveland. They are my top 5 in the East.

I have Indy in the next 3 alongside New York and Orlando. Top 8.

Edit: I forgot Brooklyn. They are in the same tier as Indy, NY and Orlando. So Indy is a top 6-9 team.

Chicago got a lot of nice players for smaller role player roles. Just not enough above average players. Or high end talent.

I think they got only 3 above average players. Vucevic, DeRozan and LaVine. Everyone else is below average. But they are not awful. They are decent. Caruso, Dosunmu, Pat Williams, Coby White, Drummond. There is useful NBA talent there. Just not enough above average talent ahead of them.

Man, Lu Dort is like a bulldozer. Just puts his head down, drives hard, bangs into people, creates a lot of contact and draws a lot of fouls. He is nice physical hard working player.

OKC vs GSW is a good game.

Watching Steph on this court is giving me flashbacks of those matchups with Durant and Westbrook back in the day. Amazing how many iterations of OKC we have seen since the. From Durant & Westbrook to PG13 & Westbrook to CP3 & SGA to this new era of SGA & Giddey & Chet & Co.

It feels like the dawn of a new age for OKC. This group is exciting.

29 TOs for GSW tonight as they choke a game away in OKC.

Wemby with a beautiful move there. He flashed to the left block, got the entry pass as he arrived, immediate spin move baseline off the catch, jumps underneath the backboard, cups the ball with his left hand and dunks on the other side of the rim.

The defender, Drummond, never stood a chance. As soon as Wemby made his move, it was already over. Too quick. Too long.

Wemby has 20pts, 19reb, 4ast, 4blks so far.

Agreed. They should be better.

It is not just the low win total either. It is how they are losing. They are getting trounced on a regular basis.

They have good players outside of Wemby in Keldon Johnson & Devin Vassell. They have some depth with Z Collins, D McDermott, Osman, Branham, Tre Jones, Sochan, D Graham. They really should not be this bad.

That is enough quality depth to be a competitive 30-35 win team. Instead they have 3 wins and are getting outscored by a league worst 12 points per game. That is a horrific number. That team should be in the minus 3-5 range. Not minus 12.

I'd like to see Pop go smaller

G: Tre Jones, Devonte Graham
G: D Vassell, Branham
F: C Osman, D McDermott
F: Keldon Johnson, Sochan
C: Wemby, Z Collins

(1) Keep a true PG on the floor at all times. Wemby is suffering from the lack of playmaking at guard. Nobody is creating easy shots for him. Need to simplify things for him. Get some more help for him. Those two PGs can help with that.

(2) Reduce Sochan's minutes. He is an interesting young player but he hasn't earned & doesn't deserve the playing time he is receiving. I don't like the twin towers alignment. That leaves Spurs a little short of a true PF to put alongside Wemby so I would just go smaller with Keldon Johnson there and put another shooter on the floor at SF.

The Spurs aren't a good team at all.  They have some young talented players, but they don't have a 1 and may not have a 2 right now either (Wemby could certainly become a 1, he just isnt close now).  They don't play defense at all either.  Spurs are and should be a bad team based on their talent.

The Pistons, Spurs, and Wizards are on a 1-48 streak and the only win was the Wizards beating the Pistons.
