LAL seem all over the place this season. Down 20pts to the 76ers Q3 right now. Too inconsistent. Never know what team will show up. A quality team with decent depth. Or a team that gets blown out.
Something is genuinely off with that team. They are not fitting together like they did late last season.
They have a Davis problem. He just isn't as consistent as he should be. When he brings his A game, they are very hard to beat, he just hasn't brought the A game all that much. I do really think if the Lakers and Celtics both flame out this year, that a Brown for Davis swap makes a lot of sense for both teams.
Anthony Davis has no real desire to win. He showed up last season just enough to get his huge contract extension this past summer. Now he mentally checked out again, which is is usual mode.
Lebron is also too old to lead a contending team and is a liability on defense. He is just putting up empty stats to pad his career resume. The Lakers were never going to be contenders. The moves they made last year at the trade deadline and this past summer addressed nothing. They were just overhyped by the LA media as usual, but it didn't fix any of their roster issues
