Harden leaving was probably the best thing for Maxey and Embiid....Maxey looking like all NBA so far this season.  Unstoppable.

Phoenix are not impressive. It feels like they are barely clinging onto the game. Trying to keep up with OKC. Their offense could unravel at any moment on any possession. No confidence to their team play. Only confidence in the individual play of Durant.

OKC look far more talented than PHO but also young and not as efficient as they should be which is allowing PHO to hang around. Once they gain some maturity, they are going to be dominant.

This is like OKC in 2010 when they had Durant, Westbrook, J Green, J Harden. This OKC group could dominate the West in the very near future. OKC went to the WCF in 2011, the Finals in 2012. This OKC team is within similar striking distance. More than 2010 group. But close. Closing that gap. You can see where they are going.

I am trying to think of who Giddey reminds me of. Scottie Pippen keeps coming up. I don't know if that is quite right though. Giddey still has to improve his scoring & shooting to reach that status.

However, I've been thinking of a lower volume Scottie Pippen and perhaps the best example of this is Scottie himself in his older years. The Scottie Pippen of the Portland Trail Blazers.

The number of things Giddey can do at his size and how team orientated he is, is remarkable. It is like our Derrick White if only he were 6 foot 8 with muscle and can play 4 positions. Someone who gives you added defensive versatility and much improved rebounding due to his superior size. More ability to create matchup advantages on his driving with his ball-handling as well as post up play.

There is so much talent in the NBA. Sengun has taken his game to the next level, I believe he’s an all star.

GSW's lineup looks vulnerable to the Wolves size and athleticism.

They have gone small with CP3 and Steph in the backcourt. They are playing Klay at SF. They have a double big with Saric and Draymond but Saric is a lightweight big man. So that leaves Draymond as the only real guy there with interior toughness, rebounding and defense.

GSW does not look like they can protect anything on defense or on the backboards against Minny with this lineup. Meanwhile, Minny has got their double bigs. They have A Edwards at SG. Kyle Anderson at SF. The difference is stark.

I am not sure GSW could beat Minny in a playoff series. Looney would have to play 35-40mpg for them to have a chance. Just too small at guard and at forward otherwise.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the Suns have also been missing 1 or 2 of their stars in a lot of these games I believe. That said, I think that's more "the norm" than outlier for this Phoenix team. Like, are we even sure Durant can hold up in a long season anymore? Booker is dealing with a calf strain which can't be ideal.

And just like Boston, I still think they have a depth issue with the frontcourt. No reliable 3rd big behind what they have.

Like if the Suns are in a playoff series with the Lakers or Nuggets, who the hell do they have that can handle AD and Jokic? Those guys would feast on them. Nurkic's solid but not the answer and he's a bit limited in today's NBA too

Only 3 assists short of the NBA record.

Strange to see Grayson Allen dribbling the ball so much.

I'd much rather see Beal do more ball-handling. Does this mean Booker will be the primary ball-handler when he returns? Or is the idea going to be Book at SF alongside two guards with Grayson still handling ball quite a bit?

Not a lot that I trust on that OKC bench.

They have got a lot of interesting young guys there jostling for playing time but few if any who have separated themselves from the pack and established themselves as legit quality NBA pros. 

The one good player there is Jaylin Williams. I like him.

The rest though ... dang. I don't know that there is anyone there that can rely on day-to-day to perform. They are all too green. Too raw. Too inconsistent. Undependable. Often bad infrequently good.

That bench is a major drawback for them right now.

Minnesota now with 7 wins 2 losses on the season.

They look a legit 50+ win team to me.

Eve n if he doesn't, though, he's already in some incredible company. And he's doing it without a dominant offensive player to dump it to for an easy assist/take defensive pressure off him/others.

Paul Pressey = that is a better comp for Giddey than Pippen. That is who Giddey reminds me of.

Pressey was not the athlete Pippen was. A good athlete but not a freak athlete like Pip. Likewise with Giddey. Not the outside shooter that Pippen was either. Likewise with Giddey. A very good defender, good rebounder, excellent ball-handler and passer for a SF who could play point forward, a solid scorer who lacked range on his jumper.
