I know Michigan State is bad, but the Buckeye offense is finally looking elite to start a game. They have been a 2nd half team most of the season.  If they can keep this level of play, they will have a real shot at beating Michigan and doing well in the playoffs.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

FSU and UW both pulled it out.  Both still on track for the playoffs.

I think they will both make it if they win out, including Conference Championship Game.

Ohio State-Michigan play each other and I feel the winner of that goes in as #1, loser is out.

Georgia-Alabama could be super interesting. Alabama is rolling right now and Milroe has looked fantastic. Won't be easy for Georgia, but first they still have Ole Miss tonight, then Tennessee next week on the road. Assuming Georgia wins tonight I wouldn't be surprised if they pass Ohio State for #1.
Yeah if they win out they are in, along with SEC and Big Ten Champ.  Them losing before the title game makes it a bit more interesting even if they win the conference (especially if Georgia loses a close one to Bama or if the OSU/UM game is a nail biter).

Yeah, something I do think could be interesting is, if Oregon beats Washington in the PAC-12 Championship Game, do they have enough to potentially be above a team like Ohio State, especially if Ohio State is #1 but loses to Michigan in a close game. A scenario like that. I do think where the teams are ranked could end up playing a slight factor too.

I would think the 4 playoff teams (in no order) would be Florida State, SEC Champ, PAC-12 Champ, and Big-10 Champ. Of course any upsets before that would shake it up a lot more.

Its been floated out there on Reddit but what do you do under this scenario?

ACC Champ: Undefeated FSU
Big Ten Champ: Undefeated Michigan (or Ohio St)
PAC 12 Champ:  Undefeated Washington
Big 12 Champ: One loss Texas
SEC Champ: One loss Alabama

Not sure why people think Washington will win the Pac-12.  Oregon should have won their matchup if not for some poor coaching decisions.  Oregon demolished Utah on the road 2 weeks ago while Washington only beat Utah by 7pts at home.  I expect Oregon to beat Washington in the Pac12 championship.  That would make an even more interesting scenario.

ACC Champ: Undefeated FSU
Big Ten Champ: Undefeated Michigan (or Ohio St)
PAC 12 Champ:  One loss Oregon
Big 12 Champ: One loss Texas
SEC Champ: One loss Alabama

1. Big Ten, 2. Pac 12, 3. ACC, 4. SEC

Doesn't seem controversial at all to me.

So no controversy with Texas beating Alabama on the road head to head?

Yeah, I’m sure that would be ignored. ::)

Not ignored, just not the be all end all because that may very well be Texas' only ranked win with Okie St. getting throttled this weekend (they have the tiebreaker on OU by beating them so Texas won't even get to avenge the loss).  While Bama will under that scenario have just beaten Georgia (the likely #1 team) and already has wins over these teams, which will all likely be ranked int he final rankings: Ole Miss, LSU, and Tenn.  I just don't think they would have anywhere near equal schedules and since they'd both be conference champions, Alabama would get in, in my view and I don't think it would be controversial at all when considering the totality of the schedules.  It was far more controversial when the committee selected Ohio State over Penn State despite Penn State beating them and winning the Big Ten (even with the Buckeyes having 1 less loss).  The committee looked at the totality of the schedules and determined Ohio State was clearly better thus ignoring the conference championship.  Alabama under that scenario would have a clearly better schedule and thus I think that would get them in.

Breaking: Michigan, Jim Harbaugh, and the Big Ten have resolved their litigation and  Harbaugh has agreed to accept the three-game suspension. The Big Ten will close its investigation.

Michigan doesn't want its dirty laundry aired out in court.  Michigan officials, maybe even the University President, could be required to testify and answer uncomfortable questions.  Hard to believe the Stalions would have done this on his own and ate the cost.  He earned 55k in salary and apparently didn't file any expense reports.  If Harbaugh and his coaching staff weren't involved and didn't have any knowledge of what was being done, who did?  My guess is that following the money would lead to one of more prominent Michigan boosters and university officials know it.

The punishment is weak sauce.  Harbaugh missing the games isn't a big deal.  They've already had to deal with that before.  The NCAA will take its sweet time to conduct their investigation so the B1G closing its investigation will put to rest the incident for the rest of the season.

Or it was becoming too big of a distraction as the team was trying to prepare to win games, and it was better to just end it now in exchange for the Big 10 to stop stringing it along (for instance, extending the punishment to the championship game if Michigan made it that far).

Either possibility is valid.

I mean if I have to see their assistant coaches and players literally crying and sobbing for Harbaugh after every game then I might lose it

I think my possibility is a lot more likely.   One day after settling with the B1G, Michigan has fired its LB coach.
