If the Falcons hire someone other than Belichick, then what option does Belichick actually have? I'm serious, it doesn't sound like the Chargers or Commanders want him. Don't think the Titans do either. Cowboys and Eagles are already keeping their current coaches. Maybe there's a dark horse I'm not thinking of but overall there are a handful of other candidates (Harbaugh, Vrabel, etc.).

I wonder if he gets forced to "sit out 2024" if the Falcons don't hire him. Falcons seem to be interviewing everyone though and taking a 2nd interview on multiple guys, not just Belichick. It's not a slam dunk like it felt a week ago

I think the Falcons job is his, if he wants it. Arthur Blank is old and desperate. That teams needs a defensive identity.

Yeah but if not, I don't think Belichick will have a choice unless another team becomes desperate

Pats DC is available. Actually, I’d feel pretty bad about it if he doesn’t get a chance.

No chance he goes to DC. He's also chasing the Shula record.

I think he was hoping for Dallas and it made a ton of sense, but they foolishly are sticking with McCarthy

I do agree with others, I still think he'll end up with Atlanta. But each day that passes where ATL is still interviewing candidates and we hear nothing, it makes you wonder. Because after Atlanta I'm really not sure he'll even have a suitor unless a team is desperate and misses out on everyone else

Was joking about DC (defensive coordinator), but I do hope he gets the Atlanta job - or somewhere else.

I'd much rather have Harbaugh at this point in time.  If Harbaugh says no, then Bill would be fine, though I still might go with Vrabel or Johnson with the hope they are there for decades.

I agree. If the Falcons job is Bill’s if he wants it, I’m not sure why he hasn’t accepted. Doesn’t seem like other teams are too interested.

Pats are looking for a defensive coordinator.  I’m sure Bill would be willing to set his ego aside and return in a support role.  He always said he does whatever is in the best interest of the team.   :o

maybe, but weird offensive play calling seems like the bigger issue there

That team plateauing is the issue there.

but they shouldn't be and I think the offense is the bigger issue.  It is very inconsistent. Some of that is Allen, but certainly not all of it

He posted today that if they cut JC Jackson, it pushes north of $82M!
