Holy crap, what a play!

Horrible decision by Hurts to not go down
I'm bitter.

Mac’s mediocre arm strength showed on that drive unfortunately.

The Eagles' 4th quarter offensive decision making has been... not great this game. That's the only reason we have a chance
I'm bitter.

Had it. So close. Tough to spot a good team 16 points.

But…. Pats showed something for sure on both sides.

That's a rough way to lose. I feel a lot better about the offense than I did yesterday, though, so I actually have some hope for this season. The pass catching core looks like they might prove a lot of people wrong this season
I'm bitter.

Defense showed up against a good offense.  Offense showed signs of life but ultimately made too many costly errors.  Sucks to lose but good to see them stay in the game against a probable contender.

My question:  how did both refs staring right at that play call it in-bounds?

Offense gave Philly 13 easy points off the two turnovers. Then for some reason they passed up on 3 easy points when down 22-14 with 9+ minutes to go. Brutal.

Those were two great passes to Boutte today that Boutte just couldn't get the 2nd foot down. He'll need to work on that, but that's a learning experience for him and I like the potential.

I'm also not sure why on 3rd and 13 in the final drive, they ran a RB screen that only got 2 yards. Come on Bill O'Brien...

Gonzalez was awesome given the circumstances with their elite weapons and the defense is legit.  Defense kept them in the game all afternoon even after they fell behind 16-0 due to the turnovers.

I think the team looks a lot more promising and exciting than last season, that's for sure. I think most (including myself) saw this as a scheduled loss anyways, so just win next week and go from there. PHI is an elite team and there's a reason most have them at minimum reaching the NFCCG again

Blew a golden opportunity. Despite going 16-0 due to their own errors they were right in it, which is probably the only positive to take. Just need to cut down on the self-inflicted errors and this should at least be a better season than last.

Mac Jones: 3TD’s/1Int, 300 yards passing. Amazing what having an actual OC does…

Hurts finished with 170 yards passing and 1TD.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah as I said above, they lost that because of the early turnovers. You just can't give an elite team like PHI 13 free points. I do think our defense is elite though.

And if there is one encouraging sign going forward, that PHI defense might actually be one of the best we face all season. Certainly the best and loaded D-Line too. Mac still put up 300+ yards and 3 TDs on them and we had some awesome drives ending in TDs. And we were missing 2 starters on the O-Line too so that unit will get better
