This is Bleacher Report's irrefutable top 100 all-time NBA players list:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2232060-br-nba-legends-100-ranking-the-greatest-players-of-all-time

My team has 4 guys on this list:

92 - David Thompson
89 - Larry Nance Sr
62 - Tracy McGrady
57 - Bob Lanier

There are 12 teams in this league and 32 players in the total pool on the list. There should be 2.67 per team (32/12).

I have 8.5% of the teams (1/12) but 12.5% of the elite players (4/32) in the sport where high end talent matters most, including 2 of the top 7 eligible players (ranked #62 and above), and they all mesh well.

Using these advanced Bleacher Report analyticz, Utah & LAC also grade out with my team at the top of the class.
2023 Non-Active / Non-NBA75 Fantasy Draft, ChiBulls:

PG: Deron Williams 07-08 / M.R. Richardson 80-81 / J. Wall 16-17
SG: David Thompson 77-78 / Hersey Hawkins 96-97
SF: Tracy McGrady 02-03 / Tayshaun Prince 06-07
PF: Larry Nance Sr 91-92 / Blake Griffin 13-14
C: Bob Lanier 76-77 / Brad Daugherty 92-93 / M. Camby 06-07

I have a few questions about Larry Nance Sr. ahead of Chris Webber...

in 2015 they thought Lebron was only 7th.  Wow.  That said, Dantley was 48th and I believe thet is the highest ranked player that was drafted. Pau was 63rd and Cheeks was 80th and they had Amar'e as just missing the cut.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The list is just crazy (Bleacher Report normal standard I suppose). Marion over Grant Hill, Reggie Miller over Rick Barry, Paul Pierce ahead of Durant (even at the time that is wild), Jerry West ahead of Hakeem. I could go on and on!

My recap in digestible pieces:

Part 2 - 2023-24 Chicago Bulls Starters!

In one version of NBA Live -- maybe 95? -- Charles Barkley wasn't in the game, and you couldn't modify a guy's jersey number.  You could change their name, though.  So I traded J.R. Rider -- #34 and bald -- to the Suns, and renamed him Charles Barkley.

That guy was a beast.  I had him scoring like 100 points per night, with an insane number of rebounds and blocks (steals were always the hardest).

In short, video game rankings are useless. ;)

Sure Roy. I bet you think climate change isn’t real either  :'(

Cmon, let’s pay our due respects to hard science.

But in all seriousness, while I wouldnt take 2k ratings as seriously as NBA players do, it isn’t 1995 anymore. You wouldn’t compare a computer in the 70s that took up a small room to an iPhone. Or evaluate music technology when The Anders Sisters were the biggest group in music and apply it to Destiny’s Child, or ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’ to ‘Independence Day.’

Some Deron Williams / Kevin Johnson cross trivia.

Kevin Johnson was the only player other than Magic to average 20-10 past the first round 3 times. Magic did so 4 times. Nash and Deron did so twice.

If you extend it to the 3rd round, past the 2nd round, to the WCF or Finals, you lose Deron. KJ and Nash did 20-10 twice while Magic did it 3 times.

C1: Bob Lanier (76-77)

Accolades: All-Star (All-NBA did not seem to exist), #4 MVP Voting

It was Kareem and Bill Walton at their peak who made All-NBA that year. That is why Lanier was top 5 in MVP but failed to make either All-NBA team. Kareem was 1st team as he won the MVP & Walton 2nd team as he led Portland to the title and would win the MVP next season. Lanier would miss out on All-NBA next year as well because of those two. That time Walton first team and Kareem second team. No shame in missing out to either of them.

Then Walton would get hurt and there would be opening again at center for All-NBA for Lanier but a young Moses Malone would come along and make that spot his own. So Lanier never got back in even though he was one of the top 10 players in the league year in year out during the late 1970s.
