The Sacramento Kings get their floor general & select: Mark Price

I had Mark Price listed as a top 3 PG in this draft alongside Penny Hardaway and Kevin Johnson. I had Penny as a top 5 pick because of the matchup issues he posed as a big PG and then the other two as mid 1st to mid 2nd round.

I am shocked M Price has lasted this long. He is perfect for today's game. He is like 67% Steve Nash 33% Steph Curry. He'd kill guys in today's game.

I like Price a little more than KJ talent wise as the #2 PG on my draft board. The superior shooting giving him the edge.

I am crushed that Price was drafted. I thought I had a shot.

Dikembe is a lot of fun.  A bit slow by modern centres' standards, but could protect the interior like few ever. Countering his lack of footspeed was his ungodly stamina - he was still playing 36MPG as a 35 year-old before injuries. Solid FT shooter, reliably kept out of foul trouble, elite rebounder. It wasn't just the blocks!

Basketball gods thought it would have been unfair to pair him with Moncrief and DJ defensively.

Although, Iguodala & Brand is a similarly nasty defensive duo to slot him alongside

I have to internalize Brand + Dikembe together. That combined wingspan is insane.

Price was my number one guy today and I knew I had no shot at him.

Absolutely. He also swung elbows like the best of them

Out of all the centers I liked, Mutombo was my clear favorite. Will have to make a tough decision now...

That duo is swallowing up a lot inside the paint. Especially with Iggy pestering them

I was salivating at the thought of that trio. Ah well.

Yeah.  I thought there were three viable options, but Dikembe was my favorite as both a player and a good guy to root for.
