It kind of shocked me that on Real GM you could do Brogdon and White for Lillard. If that's not correct, my apologies. Of course, nobody wants to give up White, but a trade has to be equally painful and rewarding for both teams to be a doable trade Derrick is a very nice player but Dame is a Hall of Fame player. We would have to add draft picks and Portland would have little interest in Brogdon so he would have to be moved to a third team for pick(s) and younger player(s). This would be maybe a pseudo-contender like LAC, Memphis, Philly, Dallas, or Cleveland.
The other issue going forward is ownership, I can't afford to own the Celtics so I never submitted a bid when they were for sale. If present ownership can't hack it financially in the future, then they need to sell to a Paul Allen or Mark Cuban type. Ownership needs to know that we know that the present ownership has achieved a massive capital appreciation on the value of the team and needs to spend whatever it takes within the new rules.
