I’m scratching my head over why the wizards would give Kuzma that deal.  I thought they were trying to bottom out this year.

I guess they have to meet a salary minimum but just seems weird to me

You can meet minimum salary by overpaying on one-year deals.  Besides if you failed to meet the minimum, I thought the only consequence was the shortfall was just divided up among all the players on the team.

He's their tank commander. Gotta at least get above the salary floor.

So I guess this is why I was confused.  I figured Jordan Poole was going to be orchestrating their tank fest, and he already makes a pretty big salary.  Why hand out another big longer term deal.

They’ll still be bad with Kuzma and Poole leading the team but maybe not bottom 3 bad, which is what a lot of the fans want around here

Free agent Josh Richardson has agreed on a two-year deal with the Miami Heat, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Richardson returns to the franchise that drafted him in 2015.

Oh, that is nice. He returns home to the team that developed him. I like Josh Richardson more than I like Max Strus. This is an upgrade for Miami.

Another wing to make life hell on JB’s lackluster ball handling, too.

J Richardson was never great at forcing poor dribblers to focus on the ball. If Jaylen struggles next year against him, im swearing it's the universe that makes Jaylens hands go to mush against the heat

Jaylen Brown won’t be in that position next year against the heat, the offense will run through Porziņģis during those zones, from the free throw line, and it’s going to be beautiful

Josh Richardson is also a Heater again, source tells AP.

That is good for Miami. I think K Love is a candidate to have a bounce back season next year. His shot got messed up through an injury. He could recover nicely and get back to that form that made him one of the better bench players in the league in Cleveland.

I hope Love does. I want to see Bam get some real help inside. I always feel bad for Bam. So little help.

I wonder what’s keeping JB’s extension. KP had his resolved quickly.

Not sure how true this is, but I read that he can’t do the extension until after midnight when the new year occurs. So may be something that comes shortly after midnight.
